SM cards are getting pretty pricey. Make sure to get an SM to XD card adapter and a few 128mb XD cards.

Sometimes I love jamming with my eyes closed. On my main pieces I know where every button, knob, switch is, how many times I have to press a button to get to a menu I want, how many clicks I need to turn to get the parameter I want.

You want a Virus keyboard, but don't want to pay, a used Virus C is a valid choice. You could also use it as an FX unit for your other synths.

A Kurzweil K2500S or K2600S or XS woud also be nice. synth and sampler with VAST and KDFX.

I haven't used a 2600, but I have the PC361. Spec wise the PC3 series just has more of everything the 2600 has, more included ROMs, more polyphony, more arpeggiators, the VA-1 synthesis engine, dynamic VAST, usb interface/pc editor, more powerful KDFX. Juno 106 and a x0xb0x

Just this year I bought a Roland Juno 106, modded x0xb0x with sokkos, a Studio Electronics ATC-X with quad filters, a Motif XS6 which I quickly sold and bought a Kurzweil PC361. Plus a couple of fx racks, compressor, and pedals. Oh and Serato Scratch.

I'm almost done though, I swear LOL.
