i just did a bit of poking around and i found a keyboard article that claims fewer than 2000 vp-330s were made.

i'm rocking the asus netbook, novation xio 25 and orion for super portability. the xio can get power from aa batteries, ac, or usb. it's not analog set up but it sounds good, has asio and can run entirely off battery power. next up - a few solar panels. i'll be a hermit out in the desert in no time....

hmm, i've been able to create usable strings and pads on my mks-30 even before i had the pg-300. btw, it's kind of funny to think about how much time the pg-300 will save you. add a little reverb and/or chorus and you're set..

what kind of sound are you going for? i'd think that is important. the sherman sounds spectacular to my ears and has loads of character. as you listen to the demos you'll notice that it excels at destroying the source content. :D for me this is a good thing but i'm not sure i'd use it on every track...

not a synth per se but i have an autographed/tagged korg kp2 that was used on tour by funkstörung.
