whats happenning now is when i turn it on all the lights come on and when i press play all i hear is a constant guiro sound

forgot to mention my 78 is AC220 13w

my 78 has a 2 pin euro mains plug but i live in the UK so im using a shaver adapter, could this be the problem?

is there a cr78 users group?
