I had a mint condition Crumar Performer a couple of years ago that I had picked up in a local pawn shop for $65....ended up selling it on eBay. If I had a time machine, I would go back to '85 or so and buy up a bunch of those antiquated wood-grained monophonic (and polyphonic) analog beasts everyone despised so much. Two of each. One each to keep, one each to sell when I warp back to 2008. Well, maybe a dozen or so Minimoogs and Jupiter-8s...

Good point about the monosynths, Automatic Gainsay. I remember monosynths being *particularly* despised in the mid-80's. 80's MIDI Madness & decline of analog...anyone remember?

OK, I'm old....probably older than most folks here, for sure....but I bet some of you here can remember the situation in the mid-80's when MIDI really started taking off, and the effect it had on analog non-MIDI synths. I remember when it all started. I had gotten into synths in the very early 80's,...

Stuff I sold that I didn't like

I've literally owned over 100 keyboards and synths since the very early 80's, and a few bad ones immediately come to mind (although if I spent more time thinking about it, I could create a long list!): -- Moog Satellite .....Worst.Synth.Ever. Simply terrible. -- Kurzweil K-2000 ......IMO, Kurzweils ...
