Re: looping tools for jamming

I recently got an electro Harmonix 2880 looper and it's great for exactly what you're describing. It can sync to midi as well so you could sync it up with a drum machine which is a lot of fun. It's also just great as impromptu 4 track recorder.

Re: Anyone here burned out on modern analog?

I guess I'm spoiled by being used to an instrument i can wear and feel make the sound acoustically through my whole body...wheras in comparison synths are almost always some disconnect between going plink-plink on a plastic key and hearing the result "over there" (=wherever the speaker is). So a ti...

Re: Buchla LEM4 Snoopy

It's a buchla, if you care whether it's analogue or digital maybe you should get something else. C'mon man.. Maybe its not a deal breaker and the guy just wants to be clear on it? Muhammed it looks like it uses the 261e Complex oscillator, which from what I can gather is digital but with ana...

Re: What is the sexiest looking synth of all time?

The wave looks busy to me , and almost has the look of a cheap running shoe. Nailed it . I also personally cant find any synth with a screen/display aesthetically appealing. The X/Y pad on the Moog Voyager is really unsightly too, like an ugly screen that also doesnt work any more  I see a cou...

It's got nothing on that ridiculous elektron Analog 4 video - they were taking the piss with that right?

Granted, my RE201 is currently out of commission...but when it works its totally worth it!
I've got both too, but really, really like my RE-20. Not a 201, but a great delay nonetheless.

The roland sh-2 has it, it's great for strong bass when you have a square or saw on Osc 2. A sine is also good for osc>filter modulation which the Vermona has correct?

Re: Which Odyssey color?

Prior to Kubricks film 'Odyssey' would elicit images of Greek city states and dudes in togas hunting sheepskins. Haha true, the first time I heard the word odyssey was at a farm when I was 6 and got taken for a ride in an ATV/dune buggy called a Honda Odyssey, it was so much fun that my imagination...

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey

I dont dig the black/orange, but strangely like it on the Arp Axxe, and would take it over the mk.1 Axxe.

The white Odyssey looks like it should be in 2001: A Space Odyssey :giveheart: ...In fact I always wondered if they designed it and thought the same, hence the name.

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey

Agreed, I'd love a 2600. I've snagged a white one on Pre-order My friend sent me a pic from Namm of the included case, its pretty cool and retro looking. What's with this drive circuit ? Flick the switch and plays a duophonic demo of that Cars song. 8-) I dont think adding drive circuit was a necess...
