Re: Have you noticed Roland D50 being so expensive?
I think it's because of cumbia sonidera and Cumbia villera music. They use the staccato heaven and horns a lot. Also probably why the XPs by Roland are expensive (XP-10 and XP-50 anyways). I don't play Latin music, but I know of a few guys who do. They ususally use Korg M1 or similar ROMplers. I ha...

Re: Streichfett + Roland VK-8m, or Yamaha SK20?
The SK20 I'm currently using went for around $200 (I think) with case and in near perfect condition. Of co...

Re: When Did Synthesizers Replace Live Orchestras?
Does anyone remember exactly when synthesizers began to replace parts of live symphony orchestras? I worked as a pit musician for a while and I just hated the idea of synthesizers doing orchestral parts. Died a little inside everyday, specially when I had to do it. Fortunately, that kind of crime o...

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey
Wow, I was away from synths for a while but this... just... wow. A great time to get hooked on synthesizers again.
Please, please Korg, give us a full-sized keys version.

Yamaha EX5. Any complex patch and/or MIDI setup would immediately screw up everything.
