Re: "Vintage" VA synths
thanks to a certain person who we wont name , messed up our post numbers. Jesus? Allah? Jah? Voldemort? :D ----- On topic: I'm a VA fan. At least on my experience for live use, you just can take a Jup + effects on stage and wait for it to be all stable all the time, or save you room for moving more...

Re: Why the alesis micron gets no respect ??
I think it does get respected as it should, most people agree on the power of Ion/Micron. Plenty of discussion about Microns breaking #-o It had plenty of respect when first released but then newer toys come along and older ones get forgotten. Now that it's been repackaged as the MiniAK we'll see wh...

Re: Which Synth Had The Worst User Interface Ever?
Modulars, if you want to make a new sound be prepared to spend a few hours. Which is sad because some have great possibilities. I guess most of their buyers [people who want to tweak all the time] don't need to use a great sound more than once. Hahaha, good one. Another great synth with a...

Re: Today's Best Value
Casio CZ-3000 and CZ-5000 - Why do these sell for less than the CZ-101? I got my 5000 for £50 and you get a lot of Synth for the money. In fact, the CZ's are probebly the most programmable Synths of thier price. Shhhh... I'm very close to getting one for almost no money. First thing that comes to m...

Re: Akai MINIAK
i hope it was an april fools joke I hope it's not, but I'm not totally convinced it isn't. This looks cute and cool enough for me to get one. If it is cheap enough, I'd buy it just because I feel the need for more black modern keyboards, stop it with the green/yellow/grey/pink case +blue/red/yellow...

Re: Korg DW8000 are they that good ? (4.7/5 rated) ?
I'll add my voice to the chorus. While I agree with nathanscribe that the keys are clunky (more than "a bit", at least on mine!), other than that it's a great synth. A darker sound than most other synths from that time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing because it means it doesn't sound like e...

Re: Best synthesizer breakdowns ever (hardcore metal style)...
But hey, metal's filled with synthesizers... from 100% Rompler strings for black metal and "power metal", to some decent use of synthesizers for progressive metal and metal fusion. no, I realize that (Cradle of Filth was actually the first band that spring to mind when I first saw that vid)... but ...

Hahaha! But hey, metal's filled with synthesizers... from 100% Rompler strings for black metal and "power metal", to some decent use of synthesizers for progressive metal and metal fusion. I used to do prog metal until a couple of years ago. This is the only metal band I listen to know, but the keyb...

Re: best piano sound
There is an update for the M3 you can download at the Korg site, it's supposed to contain a piano expansion or something like that. If you don't like it, get a Motif XS or Nord Electro and you'll be pleased. There's a rack version of the Motif which you can find for cheap. And even older versions of...
