Re: Microkorg XL

but the Microkorg feel more like a relative of the MS2000 than a mini-me, and this XL evolution confirms it has turned into a kind of its own. it is a mini-me though, and besides, the ui and function of the ms2000 evolved into the radius, so what.. I don't know if you've had any experience with an ...

Re: Microkorg XL

Completely! The damn minikeys have kept me away from buying the regular one for 4 years! Ditto. I keep thinking that I should just buy one and use it as a module. But that seems like a waste. That's a ridiculous comment. You could get the MS2000 is you wanted a full sized version so badly. As I sta...

A smaller box, and inside that an even smaller box, and you know the rest of the story.

....In the 2cmx2cm box you find a mopho and a Microkorg. :D

Re: The Triton moss board questions

I think the MOSS board is better if you want the all-in-one approach, that's better for gigging and saving studio space in my opinion.

If you want an extra 5 octaves around, buy the Z1, if you use the Triton for gigging or don't have enough space, go for the MOSS board.

I love how the 15 year old kids are giving advice like seasoned pros now. you read my thought It would be ok if your last name was Moog maybe... To the OP: Micron is awesome, knobby things are not really necessary for first synths but the real problem could be the pitch wheel in such a ...

I was hoping for the classic Taurus sound too, but the demos didn't get me all that excited, I'll wair for some high quality audios for further opinions.

Re: New: Nord Electro 3

This is the only non-synthesizer sound keyboard you'll ever need. Pianos. Organs. Clavs. Rhodes. Mellotrons. Vibes. Gotta play it soooon! Yeah, organs + elec pianos were cool, but add the mellotron sounds and we have a winner!!! Great move from Clavia. Opeth's keyboardist must be really happy. =D>

Re: New Classics

I'm not sure that I understand your definition of "classics". I consider, for example, the Moog Minimoog, Roalnd Juno 106, and the Yamaha DX7 to all be classic synths, despite the fact that they were manufactured in rather large numbers. Then there are synths like the Akai AX-80, Sequential Split-8...

Re: what makes an instrument "professional"?

Cafe Tacuba, biggest rock band on Latin America, uses it... Now, that is debatable. I remember having this "professional" discussion among friends years ago when the Microkorg was released. Many many home keyboards look more "professional" so we decided it was a big boy's toy. A couple of ye...

-+100 pro points if someone famous uses it currently.

-Professional looks.

-Says so in the box it came.
