Re: Akai MINIAK
http://www.alesis.com/micronse theres an update? looks like the specs match the miniak perfectly... i haven't heard of this before... this is odd The only difference is the ends are blue. The Micron and the Miniak were the same to begin with. I just meant that I haven't heard of the SE before, so I...

Money, Santa would probably just buy me a Triton or something.
What I really want are a new Mini and finally my Andromeda!

Re: Why buy hardware synths?
[-X I know of people who have bought FM8 because of my campaign. =D> I got interested after reading 100+ of your posts, and bought it after your demos. Anyway, I'm with the "do whatever the f**k you prefer" movement, so I use hardware and I use software. But a mix of p***s factor, nostalgia f...

Re: Kurzweil PC3 vs Kurzweil 2600 vs ...
I haven't bought one yet because house expenses have been killing me lately, but have spent enough time testing it to remember each waveform's place in the ROM.
It is versatile, but only looking at the VA-1, I'd say the JP-8000 sounds way more like a real analog machine.

Unless you want a built-in sampler, PC3x is the best.

Re: Worst Roland, Korg and Yamaha Synths?
Korg: 707. Really, what was that? Close second place: TR-Trinity rack. I needed a small gigging rack with ROMpler sounds, but this was nothing compared to the Trinity, which at least had a touchscreen to control it nicely. You can't add the MOSS board, which is what made Trinity interesting! Yamaha:...

Re: One is not enough!
I remember a lady who has around 4 Waldorf Micro Q. The synth lady from the "Synth lady" thread? If I remember correctly, she had 2 or 3 copies of everything. I just searched for the thread but nothing came out. :? Personally I usually buy new stuff that will give something new to my music/studio, ...

Re: Did Roland Ever Top The Weighted Action Of The A-90?
I have yet to try the Fantom G8, but Roland keeps talking about how they made the best possible keyboard feel out there.
But so far, A90 still feels like the best Roland to me and everyone I know.

I don't think anyone out of the synth world would understand it, but yes, it makes a lot of sense.Primal Drive wrote:It's sound isn't so much buzzy, but rather fuzzy (if that makes any sense).

For me, AN1x+MS2000 was the killer combo, I hope to get it again once I move to a bigger place.
