Re: New Korg Controllers...

Has anyone tried using several nanos of the same kind simultaneously (ie 2 or more nanokontrols, etc)? Does it work, or will the computer get them mixed up?

Re: dear korg nanokey: where have you been all my life?

Yeah, it's a pity they don't have MIDI. Someone should make a "generic-usb-midi-device to midi"-interface.

Re: Jupiter 4 Tuning issues/calibration/HELP???

Yup. There are 2 trimpots for tuning on each voice card (+a lot of other trimpots for other things), if i remember correctly. The pots on the back are just for tuning when the voices scale correctly, I think (set them at a "middle" position before doing the internal tuning).

Re: Let's say I was going to sell a Yamaha CS-5....`

do a completed listings search on ebay. prices rise & fall all the time. last CS-5 sold for $575 total, which is quite frankly f**k huge. i bought one about a year ago for $300. That IS totally outrageous. It looked kinda ugly on the photos, and didn't even have a case... The vastly superior CS-15 ...

JP-8000.

You may want to be more specific in your question, though.

Re: Help! SH-09 dead?

Does it work for filtering external signals?

Also, if You have the ability to do so, try triggering it from another keyboard.

Re: Help! SH-09 dead?

But if the synth lights up it's probably not the fuse (or the power supply), is it?

Re: rack keyboard stand

I've never seen one, but i'd imagine it having a lot of tipping-over potential... If I understand what You mean correctly, You could easily make one yourself, though. Just put some sturdy planks between two (deep) modules, pointing outwards, make sure they don't move about, and place the synth on th...

Actually, I've been thinking about this lately, too. Got as far as downloading the Radias manual, but not as far as actually reading it (yet)...

Re: SUZUKI WARAKU KOTO SYNTHESIZER

I see the acoustic variety of this all the time in japanese junk shops. Haven't really paid attention, so i guess i might have seen the electronic one as well. I suspect the kanji written on it are probably supposed to read "wagaku", though. Both waraku and wagaku appear to be actual words, written ...

Re: Studio Desks, yes seriously

I'm a bit sceptical to any desk that fits a synth underneath the "main" desk surface. Feels like You'll either have nowhere to put Your legs, or the computer keyboard/mouse and monitor ends up ridiculously high.

Re: Allow me to be the first to b***h about the new Macbooks

I reckon apple will come out with some sort of solution, they're kind of screwing Apogee with this otherwise I reckon Apogee already has a USB Duet on the way, at least if Apogee are as close to Apple as they are thought to be. The Duet won't even need USB2 with those measly 2in2outs. (But this won...

Re: ROLAND SH09

Try carefully scratching (with a small screwdriver or something) the little wire-like-contact-thingies on the copper tongue thingies under each key, as well as the long rod thingies (You'll understand once you remove the keyboard). They oxidize, or something. Worked for mine, at least. Edit: Also, u...

Re: Allow me to be the first to b***h about the new Macbooks

Two birds with one stone: A lot of video cameras use firewire (or iLink) and interface to iMovie or FCP this way. Yeah. I don't own a camera but the other day I went looking for a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable and the salesperson referred to them as a video camera cable. I am assuming most digital ...
