So, I turned to my trusty Juno (the only analogue hardware I own) and tried again. This time I achieved a better result and was able to achieve a reasonable 80's style funky synth bass. The patch I came up with on the Juno had a lot more grit/bite than my previous attempts using softsynths ( becaus...

WOW!
Many thanks to gcoudert and Mooger5!!

I think that one day I just might get myself one of those, unless they are super-rare. But I think that would be something neat to have. I don't think anyone uses that anymore..

Thanks a lot guys! Oh, and can you play video games on that? :reindeer:

Oh, pretty much as you'd expect--inputs, output and midi. You can get away with sampling a bit of recorded audio, mapping it across the keys, and calling it a day, but dealing with any sampler worth its salt, like synthesizers, can be as involved as you want it to be; that's really what I was getti...

First it was some toy i had that made froggy noises and kitty and dog noises. I would have a blast... Then I got out of that stage, and really dug the wierd fx that KoRn put on their guitars. So by this point i loved music, took some piano lessons by force, hated piano, heard Velvet Acid Christ, wan...

Re: Corey Hart - Sunglasses At Night

I've always loved the song "Sunglasses At Night", but I was wondering: 1. What synth(s) did he use? 2. How did he get the main synth part to ping-pong back and forth between the stereo channels? I don't think most synths of that vintage had that capability. Maybe with an external delay? Or some sor...
