DX 100 operator question

Hi all....why is it that I have to have operator 1 selected all the time in order to get a noise out of the machine. There might be the very odd occasion that it's turned to 0 and I hear something...usually a feint type of sound. I thought that all operators work independently from each other but in...

Re: Volca FM slider recording

Cheers jabba.....I thought so, I just needed your experiance to back up my thoughts. How nice it would have been if all you had to do was move the slider up and down and have the sequencer map the movement. I found a work around but it involves the usual hard work of plonking in notes manually. And ...

Volca FM slider recording

I would like to be able to have the Korg FMs slider movements mapped by my Atari 1040.

Is this at all possible.

I move the FMs sliders while it's playing a pattern I have created but it's not mapping the notes on my Atari.

It is just mapping the standard pattern....Hummm.

Fender piano bass alternative..?

Hi Guys.

Was wondering if there is any reasonable alternative to the fender piano bass around.

These seem to be so expensive and rare, I've seen a hohner bass but is there anything else around..?

cheers.

dX100 against Korg Fm volca wasting money

HI Guys.....would you say that by now you would be wasting money in buying a DX100 when we have Korg Volca FM now.....
Juan Atkins and Derek May used them I told but they had to use them as nothing else did at that thing or cost as cheap....I'm curious as to what you would think.

Many Thanks.

Re: Korg volca FM midi out question

Hi Meatball thanks for your reply....I done seem to be able to get a signal flow unless my synths or drum machines are both connected to both in and outs to each unit..maybe an Atari thing perhaps...what do you think.

I don't really want to waste money if the bloody midi out does nothing for me.

Hi all....I am wanting to use a sequential tom and a proteus 2500 at the same time....could I get away with a y cable or would I be better in getting a midi merger unit...I am worried that the midi information might clash down the same cable if the same notes are played at the same time...it will be...

TR08 and Sequentail Tom/ Casio Rz1 query

Hi guys...how is it that two old drum machines can connect to an Atari 1040 and have there midi notes recorded and played back with no issues and that doing the same simple in and out midi connections with the TR08 it does not play back the internal sounds.

R8 and 505 virgo four

Hi all....I've been studying virgo fours sound recently.

They use a Roland R8 and a TR 505 together on there live shows and I was wondering about the reason for this choice of drummies being put together.
I have my suspicions and was wondering if any of you do the same sort of thing.

Re: If you were doing Chicago house what synths

Hinotori....Your comments were spot on...thank you ever so much for your comments....Virgo Four came to the rescue and I am now a proud owner of a Juno 2, which I got hold of only 4 days after I learnt this was the synth I had been searching for. The Juno 2 has the dark haunting sound which wanders ...

Re: Proteus 2500 midi port failed

Thank you Rasputin....was just about to do the factory reset but didn't want to...had cables running all over the place and somehow I've got going, thank goodness it was like waiting for the DFS sale to end. I thought the midi connector had failed at the back of the unit bit it hasn't. Now all I hav...
