Re: lowest prodution run of a major synth manufacturer

wanted to try and keep it to the majors mainly, but hey were having some fun with this. would a major manufacturer always produce say 300 and see if they fly or die..they must have to gauge the amount somehow from the investment and parts ordered to make a run profitable. a decision has to come from...

how best to log/record synths for insurance purposes

if ever there came a day, that our equipment were ruined by fire or flood. what do you do, to make sure you would be recompensed for your loss.. all i can think of, would be to log every serial number and take photos of everything you owned.and make sure of course your contents cover is adequate. in...

Re: lowest prodution run of a major synth manufacturer

this information really brings home how lucky we are, in actually owning these machines. if we consider
that they were distributed/advertised perhaps worldwide.

and then you have to try and gauge how many have been junked, or broken up.

lowest prodution run of a major synth manufacturer

Hi all ......was just interested to know the answer to the above. recently got hold of a emu emulator II and the
production was only 3000 units.

would this be regarded as a low volume run, when we talk about the majors korg, roland etc

10,000 units keep popping up.was wondering...cheers

Re: Matrix 1000 vs. DW-8000 vs. ...

i'd go DW8000 ..i found the matrix 1000 to limiting and same sounding patches.nothing to press of turn.. surely the fun is in developing a sound..and i think they have an arppegiator. sold the matrix last year good riddance even if it was analogue so what...thers others a lot better.. good luck... l...

korg micro sampler

could the modern day korg micro sampler match up to yesterdays emulator
it seems to be taking a lot of features from them guys.

i know the analogue filter is not present, but its making up on ease of use.

was wondering what your thoughts maybe..?
