getting my 303 to go nuts

hi struggling on this one. currently run a drumstation from atari seq... now, i use the din sync on the drumstation to get it to fire off the 303 so they work in time. good so far... but i want the 303 to play a lot faster than the tempo of the drumstation.the 303 just plods along and sounds boring ...

ive just invested in a yamaha tx81z because of this saw bass reason.let alone getting the classic
lately bass sound...if you go to you tube and tap in... M4M ..he will show you how to get this sound
he is also very helpfull in listing everything he has and his replys are very possitive.

how to get a synth to warble (as in funk)

hi people....would like any advise/tips on the subject...

funk bands of the time used it a lot to get expressive sounds from there equipment.

were they using specific synths for this...thanks for any replys.

hi pilson..i actually emailed paul peterson from (the time) keyboard player...and he actually emailed back this i used an OB-8 when i got in the band...i believe they used an OBX-A as well as an arp for strings. ive often sort this sound,with no luck..i tried a matrix 1000 but the attack is just not...

yes it feels good to get rid of the dead wood...

also let go of my dx7 and wavestation ex...i ve experimented with so many set ups
but youve just gotta have room for these types of synths for them to earn there space.

im always trading gear...good luck

ive had similar thoughts....just owning a 909 must make you feel great....i get that feeling with my 303 ive found the novation drumstation v2 a knockout for the price....although not as hands on....its simple on the tin stuff.. i still lust after a 909,but cant justify its price...youll not loose o...

HI ALL.... im having a hang up with getting the sampler to loop properly...ive studied the manual regarding this section.... is there something im not aware of.... it samples and trimms properly....but when i go into loop and start playing around with the settings it wont loop the sample at all.... ...

well the dirty deed was done...traded the esi 4000...for the 3000xl last weekend the sales guy who knows a thing or two,had to agree with me that they were hard work, wasnt too sure about the swap himself,as he hopes its not going to sit around for years. it will either fly out...or a sitter...i vou...
