For sampling duties...apart from two units all can run on batteries... You've got to tame yourself when using too much equipment otherwise y...

Re: Roland tr09 reasons to be cheerful

I can't ever see Roland bringing out anything better than this as a replica TR909...they see a market to make money cheaply and go for it....a TR08 will surely follow if this does well. We do have a few alternatives now in Arturia and MFB recently for different sounding drum machines. It's funny but...

Roland tr09 reasons to be cheerful

I think Roland has done us a big favour here.
They have saved many I feel in spending out a small fortune, only to find they have no rhythm in there bones.
The 09 lets us dip our toes before the major money is handed over.

Does anybody else feel the same way.

Roland sbx 1 or korg kms 30

Hi all....I've recently purchased two old korg ddm 110 and ddm 220 drum machines...I wish to run them along with a tr 707 and casio rz1...so I will have a problem as they run on different time scales. What unit would you choose these days to sync them up...the roland sbx1 unit applies a swing featur...

Re: Roland 909 Day

I think we all really know what we are going to get...ACB in two new boxes....I will be pleased if we don't but can't see it happening.

Re: Roland 909 Day

I just know that it's going to have two outputs at most...if they can improve on that it could be a hit.
I also felt that the TR8 was lacking and wasn't as intuitive as I was hoping.

Re: Pitching tr 626 thru a tx81z

Hi Z many thanks for the reply...damm I was really hoping that I could adjust the sounds of a slave midi unit.. By doing this. So am I right in saying that I can adjust the sound pitch slightly by assigning a different note number to a drum pad. The 626 allows me to go upto 90 in note numbers but th...

Pitching tr 626 thru a tx81z

Hi All....was wanting to know if it's possible to change the pitch sounds of the tx81z using the pitch adjust from the tr 626...as I can change the internal sounds of the drums but I am using the tr 626 as a sequencer to drive the TX.

Cheers for any reply

Korg esx1 vs tr 909

Hi all....just purchased an esx1 to compliment my tr 707 as I couldn't justify spending out for a tr 909.
I'm quite happy with this choice
Is there anybody else that feels the same and I also feel that the esx can just experiment so much more with its stock sounds.

Re: Casio cz 101 programming / editor

Thanks all for your replys very greatful as always to you. I was hoping to find the CZ a bit more inspiring than it is...unfortunately I tend to like quick workflow over programming as I loose interest very quickly if it's not what I want to hear...I tend to laugh out loud when you always read from ...

Casio cz 101 programming / editor

A friend of mine has said he does not rate the cz 101 unless you have an editor available to unlock it's potential.

Is this a true enough statement to make.
