Re: I just realized what I want - A true hardware Maschine
While i have few posts here, I am no newb. My post was more about wishful thinking than the realistic belief that what I wanted exists at this time. I don't think that it's likely to ever exist, seeing as the current movement is towards ITB and away from hardware ( except of course for the modern an...

Re: I just realized what I want - A true hardware Maschine
Thanks guys. Each of those potential solutions fall short however. I am not interested necessarily in rolling my own samples. The Maschine came with a 6gb library of samples, that was already arranged into kits! All you have to do is scroll, load and play. (You can of course do more than that if you...

I just realized what I want - A true hardware Maschine
I don't want to go through my DAW, no software, no VST. I just want a big-assed number of samples and drum kits, already made, ready for me to scroll through and sequence. I use a Cirklon as my sequencer ( moving away from SONAR for creation, using it only for audio recording and mixing). I want Mas...

Re: Have you ever... thrown away a synth?
I threw away a Casio DG-20 - Midi Synth guitar. There was no ebay. No one I knew was into synths or guitar. I had never played guitar, and I was moving. My girlfriend (now wife) encouraged me to ditch it, so I did. I put a note on it saying it worked perfectly and maybe some kid might like it. 3 yea...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon pre-order!
There is no manual! Im thinking of writing a "getting started' type of thing.. once my life calms down a bit (two weeks) the machine is pretty easy to get used to.. I have been asking questions and getting answers almost immediately form the yahoogroup, so I have not really been hindered. Also, sin...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon pre-order!
Mine is here and has been a joy to figure out and use. The case is very well made -solid, not just folded sheetmetal, the corners are welded and ground , it is a heavy piece of kit!! Beautiful, large display. A dedicated sequencer with a display like this is a joy to use. Mind you that the OS is st...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon pre-order!
Just paid for my Cirklon with CV I/O today. Looks like its # 25. It's going to be an exciting 2 months (had to sell my Doepfer MAQ 16/3 to get the money , so my modular is currently sequencerless). Here's where they stand as of today: "I'm pleased to report that manufacture of the first production r...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon pre-order!
Videos are great - was wondering about this earlier and where it was currently at. I got this in an e-mail from Sequentix yesterday: (it's an except) "I'm Barbara Fraser, Colin's wife, and I will be dealing with customer enquiries and handling the order-processing side of the business. I've compile...
