How is the plug-in compared to the real deal? i used to use a Wavestation AD, the soft version actually sounds better to my ears, it's the best sounding softsynth i've used. no vocoder, though. I didn't believe you when I saw this, so I tried it out myself, and Voila! you are correct, sir. The soft...

I'm curious...why not "sacrifice" the Microkorg?

Wife -driven appeasements should be no larger than absolutely necessary. Microkorgs are a dime a dozen on ebay, and will be available new or used for a long time (easily replaceable, thus far less pain to temporarily release!)

I just bought some red oak to build a slanted "box-like" holder for both the Novation Nova and Desktop Evolver. Haven't figured a design yet, though.

Casio CZ-101. Giorgio Moroder's "From Here To Eternity" Donna Summers' "I Feel Love" Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express" and Space's "Magic Fly" These songs really captured my imagination. I was amazed at the sounds that could be gotten from synths...I was hooked. Wasn't until the synth-pop 80's that...

I think the less is more meme is terribly misunderstood. It's not about quantity or quality. It's about focus and distraction. If you get distracted by a crapton of toys - like any magpie who gathers these things, "less" (as in quantity) may mean "more" (as in productivity) to you. And if you don't...

Ray Charles stated out trying to sound like Charles Brown, until he developed his own v...
