A question, does it have filter FM? :?: According to the SOS review: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/1995_articles/may95/korgprophecy.html?print=yes It does (sort of). "The Prophecy actually looks quite small with its 37-note keyboard, but it can sound as huge as you like. One of the benefits carri...

looks like its mainly got a cool interface - the ribbon controller is cool - but the sounds arent much different from the ms2000 are they? i understand that it seems pretty cool for being from 95 tho The MS2000 is thin sounding compared to the Prophecy. The Prophecy uses 4 different types of synthe...

i lost a microkorg under a van - they left the handbrake off on a hill. not pleased. it's broken by the way  If it was a DX7, it would probably still work. ;) How about this for "abuse"? http://www.patzcatz.com/misc/dsc00189_sm.jpg That pic should be included in 'Show us your setup' thread. T...

also everyone should have a Theremin! Okay, you shell out the dough, and I'll take one! I bought mine (2nd hand Moog Signature) for $200. Is that too much? Seriously, they can be had nowadays for between $280 and $420 (perhaps not the signature one anymore, but other Moog Theremins (unless y...

6 pages of Roland-related hate speech... Have we nothing better to do? Like starting a thread on how much we hate some synth by Yamaha? :? I generally really, really like Roland products and just because there are one or two or whatever bad ones, doesn't mean we have to trash Yamaha in this thread....

Since I'm a newbie, I'll just be foolish enough to say out loud that the whole VSynth Fantom -line sounds like utter garbage - judged by the countless youtube videos made with those things. :D I tend to agree about the youtube comment - but that's just the ones I've seen. There has to be a good one...

If you're familiar with Plato's parable of the cave, then that pretty well sums up in an analogy, for me, why analogue is so much better than digital (for electronic sounds).

I owned the MC 303 and asides from the obvious (lack of user memory and no display other than the LED numbers), it was very useful for a couple of years for me and allowed me the freedom to do more live shows. I upgraded to a MC 505 and never looked back and I thought the sounds were okay. I also us...

I can't remember the name of it, but didn't moog have plans making an 'ultimate' synth with monophonic bass (pedals) and lead, and a poly section? I believe this fell through but the seperate pieces were later released, i.e. the poly section became the polymoog, the lead section became the multimoo...
