Yeah. It's not the greatest idea in itself, but the prices on many older (can be read simply also as "used") items have gone through the roof because of the internet. It's no longer about hunting for the items from exchange stores, flea markets or even dedicated music gear stores - everything is foc...

People are asking stupid prices for even DCO synths these days over here, just as long as there's something namely "analog" there. Some of those adds are pathetic at best with their item descroptions, but hey, if somebody pays in the end that inflated price everyone's happy, right? But more and more...

When I bought an Ensoniq SQ-1+ in the 90s, I could have bought the Fizmo standing next to it instead. :? The SQ-1 is worth now like a hundred or something.

The depth of sound on a good analog is just far superior, and the designs lend themselves to playability a lot more (hey, that was a foreign concept to even me for a couple of years, but I've started PLAYING more once I got my Moog). Even my crappy Korg EX-800, which is not fully analog of course, w...

Yeah, a bit of an exaggeration there in terms of those boards. But I just have to wonder what kind of resale value will these modern sample-based (+VA & other stuff) -type of units manage to sustain in five-ten years of time? If the 90s products are of any indication and you could possibly do the sa...

Since I'm a newbie, I'll just be foolish enough to say out loud that the whole VSynth Fantom -line sounds like utter garbage - judged by the countless youtube videos made with those things. :D

to me it's the CM-32L: http://www.derjano.nl/CM32L.jpg But that's a top-end module that was intended mostly for computer game music playback during the days in the early 90s when owning Adlib for most already meant luxury? I remember I thought it sounded so incredibly good back then, but wouldn't k...

Many say the Freqbox is a bit redundant with the Voyager (or LP for that matter). Basically what they say is that it won't produce that drastic difference and you can cover similar sounds with the Voyager alone. At least I've found out that using the external audio in and toying with the modulation ...

There are plenty of ways to make the Voyager sound more like a "vintage" unit, but I wouldn't go necessarily for the insert loop myself. Voyager's strength to me is the very detailed sound and you seem to lose a lot of that when you add exciters / volume boost / distortion before the filter. Basical...
