low output issues with Kaoss pad

Has anybody ran into this same issue. When I run drums from my sampler into the kaoss pad, they come out so quiet that I have to either adjust the input volume on the KP3 till it peaks (red) (kaoss pad) or adjust the track volume on cubase to max. Either way this is not a good thing. Also I'm findin...

Re: sherman filterwhowhat?

Nice, I find I get better results when the bypass/effects knob is midway. Otherwise you lose the orignal input signal completely. Cool posting.

Re: dirty filthy bassline (tune) entitled: inner skankdom

thanks for the replies! The MPC works quickly actually to create intricate beats. You can hold a quantize button and press the pads and different notes will be recorded and then played back in a loop, so you can hear right away what's going on. Really cool.

Re: dirty filthy bassline (tune) entitled: inner skankdom

lol , yes it does sort of just stop. I put it up quickly to hear what it would sound like, and to put it on my ipod to take it around. Thanks for the feedback, nobody really says anything in this forum.

Re: Programming complex drum beats

Finally someone who agrees and knows something about beats. Hey Thomas, checked out your tracks there. The canadian winter reminds me a bit of that classic house bassline from the track "I'm lonely" by Hollis P Munroe. Good stuff there.

Re: Programming complex drum beats

This topic makes me laugh. Everybody's putting their two cents in about how to do something they know nothing about. I think I mentioned this before, but drum and bass (and the chopped up amen break which was made big by ShyFX 's " Original Nuttah") has become what it is because of the sampler. The ...

drum and bass tune : Funktion

Let me know. Second track using a computer. Prior to this I was only able to play live and video tape and post to youtube as a way of cataloging my progress or ideas. Please let me know what you think.

LFO question pertaining to Sherman filterbank and Voyager

O.k. here's what I'm trying to achieve. On the voyager I can either sync the LFO to an external midi clock which would be my sequencer, or switch it to "note on", which resets the LFO everytime a key is hit. Now I'd like for the Sherman filterbank LFO to be synced so that the LFO resets it's cycle e...

MPC sequences Voyager, then through Sherman filterbank etc

that pretty much sums it up except I'm running the drums through the 1 and 2 assignable line outs, from the back of the MPC 1000 and into a korg kaoss pad for doing real time effects such as flanging etc... Check it out

Amen beats: the answer

I really appreciated seeing that question because it has been the same one that I've asked myself for a while. I have always tried to duplicate the same style of break but was unable. I first used a mc 303 groove box, later tried with programs like reason, and ableton and also the elektribe. Anyways...
