Modular Eurorack Module Suggestions.

Hey all. I just recently came across a Modular World eurorack case with two 2000mA power supplies in it. I was curious to see what kind of modules you all would recommend to me since this is my first fully modular synth where I'll be installing the modules myself. My music tends to lean towards Indu...

Re: Diabolical Devices Juno 106?

I haven't really heard the Diabolical 106 but any mod done on the regular 106 should be advantageous. For your second choice between the Slim Phatty and the Doepfer Dark Energy I can expound a bit more since I own a Little Phatty and owned a Dark Energy. I like the new Slim Phatty but really I'd pre...

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

I just finished a trade with n3wt15 for a Modular World Case +cash for my Waldorf Microwave XT. He was great in all aspects of a trader/seller. Quick and friendly communication, rapid shipping and payment as well as sending me a quality item! Do some business with n3wt15 though here if you get the c...

Re: Kaoss Pad Quad

The Quad looks interesting and all for sure. As Stab said though I don't think this KP will replace any of the others but will rather be an interesting new take on their KP line. Having said that, I definitely will be pre-ordering one this weekend from Nova Musik. I love that store, anything I order...

Re: Jupiter 4 vs TR 909

The 909's bass drum is great. Having said that, there are plenty of other drum machines that are more versatile and have better sounds than the rest of the 909's percussion sounds. Jupiter 4 would be my vote. Sure both have a great resale value right now but the thing that would decide for me would ...

Re: whats a good mono analog synth under $500

Dude as AG, Z and a few others said, find a Moog Rogue, Bass Station or a CS-10 or 15. Those are your safest "older" and "vintage" synths that do some serious damage with bass. If you're going to want something newer though and you know isn't going to be problematic in any area because it's new, get...

Re: Talk me in or out of a Yamaha CS-10

As the others who are for you getting the CS-10 have said, get the CS-10! 300.00 is a damn fine price for it so you should snatch it up before some other person does. I have a CS-10 in my line up and I love it. The CS line in general is a stellar bunch of synths. Yamaha did quite well in the creatio...

Re: help picking a synth

You could just get a Moog Rogue for around 500 to get those Moogish sounds you're looking for. Or do what most are saying and get an Ion.

Re: Talk me in or out of a Yamaha CS-10

I have a CS-10 and it is a tank. The connectors inside that connect circuit board to dials and keys to circuit board sometimes the connectors get jarred loose in instances like taking it to a gig and the road is bumpy or during shipping while acquiring one. This is an easy fix as you just open up th...

Re: Korg DS-10

Ahhh, I see! Well h**l, I'd better get a DSi then lol! Korg is awesome for putting these carts out for the DS series. Truly sick little beasts that make your DS or DSi all that much better to mess with! What other 8 bit music items do you guys own? Any of you have an Atari 2600 with the synthcart? T...

Re: Korg DS-10

The DS-10 cartridge is amazing fun! Super grime bass lines and pretty cool FX for 8 bit chip tune leads and beats! I have the original too and wonder what's different on the + version.

Re: Which $1K analog mono to complement Pro-One?

Well if you prefer vintage like you said you also get a yes vote from me as the others on the CS-15. Quite the little powerhouse and not very pricey at all. If you want something newer, the DSI MEK is a great choice, two analog oscillators and two digital ones as well. Or, you could get a Moog Littl...

Re: Looking for OSX software for interesting vocal chopping

Sugarbytes might have something along those lines man. Check out their product page: http://www.sugar-bytes.de/content/products/index.php?lang=en They should have something to achieve what you're going for and OSX compliant! Check out the WOW Filterbox, the Effectrix effect sequencer and the Robotro...
