I listened to the demo and some of the heavy metallic sounds were pretty cool...but would you say no other synth can recreate that? Im looking for harsher gritty sounds so would the DX7 be able to make some heavy sounds?

I just checked the price on Flextone IIs and there right in your price range if you use music-go-round or guitar center.com....ive also seen the flextone III for around 300......In my opinion best amp since you have so many genres in mind....and these arent limited to just clean or distortion...they...

In the end its what sounds the best and works the best for YOU...so i guess the best advice is to just try em both and see...if you want to compare specs just find em online....

Save up a little and get a line 6 flextone 3....most flexible amp ive ever played....great for modeling...Maybe you could find a flextone 2 for around your budget....great amps...i swear by em

you might wanna try looking at an SH-201 from roland...those are marketed towards people learning synthesis and its super easy to use...not to mention it sounds awesome....those are like $595 or something...ive seen em used for $300..

would getting the alesis be better than if i got a roland SH-201 and a roland SP-404? Considering that I already have a keyboard with good piano/organ/string sounds....
