It's rather that I'm working on my own modern (covering the functions of the more recent FM-Synths) FM-Synthesis tutorial maybe even a book so it's good to know what ppl. prefere and other concepts for such a book...

V-Machines from SM-Pro Audio seems to be an option too, not sure if it's all ready avaiable, price should be about 450 Euro...

Can you give some more infos about your Computer Setup, like OS, processor, RAM? Usualy Dual Core Systems get along easier with the CPU load/spikes low latency USB devices can cause...

Just for the record ;) The FS1R provides several parameters for parameter morphing, like FM- and FS-Matrix. It's no true interpolation between two patches, but very flexibel and efficient for an end 90s Synth...

Well, their is one in my CZ-1, since I had to repair it. Other than that check page 4 of the CZ-1000 service manual... ;)

Steem works fine with XP too but seems to have difficulties with Windows XP builtin drivers, but the good interfaces that come with its own drivers should run...

Might be a matter of taste, I prefere the Xiosynth, since it seems to provide more presence high frequency wise, but never had a chance for an A/B comparison... Xiosynth provides a superset of the K-Station Parameters, with more Oscillator/LFO-Waveforms (but the Oscillator missing double waveforms),...
