Well, the Juno G/Fantom X Series have some synthesis abilities that goes beyond pure Rompler and typical VA stuff, like Ringmod/Booster (Waveshaping) Structures. Postfilterringmod and Waveshaping can be a pretty mighty tool when used properly...

Depending on the Computer/OS you use, on Windows I'd say you should use ASIO drivers and reduce Latency Settings/Buffer Size... Got it thanks! It worked after reducing the latency however it distorts when I lower the latency very low. How can I obtain the ASIO driver? I changed my preferences to AS...

Well, Vista isn't that bad, just pretty resource hungry and driver situation isn't perfect yet...

Well, what I heard of the Fusion FM so far sounded rather thin and not as agressive as the DX7 can be. Still, Fusion is a nice beginners synth, covers all your basic needs, but imho soundwise it's not exactly top notch but (at least over here) extremely affordable...

Yep, when I had to opened it to replace the keyboard, used it to control Softsynths but the Keyboards wasn't resistant enough, it looked completely digital/DSP based to me...

I wouldn't want to programm a TX81z directly at the synth anymore, I did that when I got the Synth 1987. Menue hopping is rather cumbersome and I simply got better results using editor software... Programming a DX7 is more comfortable, still fighting with the menues and with the FM might be pretty f...

The microKorg comes with the better FX section, but when distortion's turned off it sounds rather unimpressive and muffled, PWM is avaiable for one oscillator only, FM restricted to Sine waveforms. I think of it as the worst Hardware Synth in my Collection... Micron is rather mighty synthesis wise, ...

Don't forget the famous LatelyBass since it's not restricted to the 4OP Synths like TX81z or FB01, the DX7 can do it too even so it's not a part of the factory presets...

Well, afaik (I talked to some fusion owner) it's missing too much to compete, since Operators/Carriers aren't tunable to 0Hz no waveshaping is possible, feeding Filter and Distortion back into the FM is missing too...
