Re: Juno 60 is missing one voice when VCA is set to Gate

chan 6 looks to be pin 11 of the ic for the gate at test point 1 Can you double check that? after that there is a couple of transistors that feed the vca.. Looks like there are 2 x 4011 for this so i imagine it will be ic 49 looks like the 4011 has a LOW output for the gate, this then triggers the i...

Re: Prophet 5 Noise Circuit

Yep i was thinking its sounding rather digital - most likely based around a MM5837 ic which goes in a loop so that would explain it.

Re: HELP ME REBUILD MY OBXA

Tants are also used in many other parts of circuits as stated The reason they are used is they are a far Superior capacitor than electrolytic due to the way they work. I am fixing a vintage synth today which has a couple of faulty tants and they are on the charge discharge circuit for the "AD" attac...

Re: HELP ME REBUILD MY OBXA

I dont think there are any tants on the voice cards

If i were you i would leave it well alone if its working and as you say just try and set up the voice cards

Setting the tune is not so hard but i found the filters to be very hit and miss

Re: advice on a mixer

I use lots of valve preamps with my synths to do exactly what you want. You could go without the mixer if you wanted and go straight into the soundcard from the preamp If you did use a mixer it gives more options as you can stick it on an aux send. I would stay away from anything BEHRINGER as the so...

Re: ensoniq ts10 midi hookup instructions

Sorry if this is wrong but if you are trying to record the sounds from the synth to the computer through midi it will not work... no audio data is fed via midi. You will not see the synth in the audio settings on the computer as its not an audio interface If you are trying to record the sound output...
