Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!

Yamaha TX816, full I have a TX802, and it's pretty full sounding, but I've heard that you can get super lush with a full 816. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare grand to find out. $1K is about twice I usually what I see them sell for. There's one in Dallas for $700 that I can broker for you if tha...

Re: Roland Keyboard Works for 50 seconds... then dies

The tool I use for removing IC's is this: http://www.globalgroupbuy.com/images/products/p/gm8864_p.jpg With a bit of solder on your iron's tip, you apply heat to the IC pin by pin and use this vacuum pump to suck the solder out of the hole. This is the sort of thing i use too The board you are repa...

Re: Roland Keyboard Works for 50 seconds... then dies

To be honest its easy to change if you know what youre doing and have the tools...... would not recommend this repair if youve not done it before. You will damage the pcb

Re: Roland Keyboard Works for 50 seconds... then dies

From the fault it sounds like a problem as the component heats up a little. If you had a can of freezer spray you could try cooling parts until the unit starts to work again..... as it then warms again it should go wrong this could be an i.c, resistor, cap ??? Its something to try and i have fixed m...

Re: Trident mk 1 another issue

I have been getting used to the synth and the initial problem is solved. There is distortion on voice 4. The connectors are fine. What could be the likely cause....???? Trace that voice backwards from the "source mix" point. Looking at the circuit it shows voice 8 on "unit 7" ic5 feeds the main voi...

Re: Trident mk 1 repair update

This is the 292 synth board that is not working... IC 41..44...39..should give 5v and -5v on pins 8 and 16...I only get -5v on both. Only -ve on the CA3080. What can cause this...? First check at the power supply side that you have the +5v, if not then you either have a dead power rail or someting ...
