Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

You know guys, if a Roland analog is what you really want there is something called ebay. Like others have said, there are other brands right now providing what you seem to be pining for - so let's move on shall we? :? I don't understand why you are getting upset and annoyed? A brand new des...

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

Maybe people should concentrate more on what they do own and spend more time crafting their musical and productions skill then wasting their time craving something new. Nah it's not like that at all, people don't sit around all desperate, craving new Roland analog, it's just a simple little fun thi...

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

Well they made SH-32, SH-201 and Gaia SH-01 and those are almost there to being classed as really good. Korg was doing similar thing before MS-20 Mini, Volcas and those don't exactly suck. And it's just that type of equipment that people want and it being scarce and unreliable etc plus it shows it c...

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

What people want could serve as ideas, Novation just refreshed their forums and included a "Your Dream Product" thread. So for Roland its simply to make something with an analog engine, they can take care of the features/interface. It's interesting what they would do and how it would sound plus like...

Sir Ruff wrote:So what do you guys think Roland should re-produce first? The Juno-6, or the Juno-60?

The Juno-6 sounds phatter, but the Juno-60 has midi capability... I wonder if it's worth buying both?
Roland should hire you, so you could make the decision for them :withstupid:

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

That a couple hundred nostalgia geeks sign a usermade petition doesn't make it commercially viable to rerelease a Jupiter-8 with every component matching the old ones. I don't think it's to do with that. People want them to make new analogs or with some old resurrected circuitry. Anyway thanks to a...

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

Ok fair enough. Apparently they are open to the idea of using analog tech again but the end result would likely be a hybrid like the Evolver. They are aware that their old products are hot etc but because of the "we design the future" they would never reissue them this from someone who supposedly at...

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

Why do you, or anyone, still feel that we require the presence of Roland in the analog synth market? Have you, by chance, noticed any of the zillions of other companies out there happily making new products? Well the same thing was being said about analog before MiniBrute arrived, did you end up no...

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

Ok so lets say they do make something analog again, who's to say it's going to be any good anyway? Let's face it, analog or not, it's been a while since *anything* interesting has come from this company. I'd just be happy if they made a decent new synth of serious musical value. :| Who's to say its...

Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!

Maybe they will listen to us like Korg did and make something interesting...

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

There's a rumor that the new MS-20 gotten 100,000 pre-orders.. What do you think? Korg is in 50+ countries, with an average 1500 orders per country and I imagine some would be more like Germany, US, Japan On top of that every shop around the globe would need a display unit as people new to analog mi...

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

As I understand it, the new MS20 uses different production techniques than are readily available today. In other words, not wave soldering. Anyone open theirs up yet and see for sure? There's pics up at Dinsync.info the guy made a good video review also to address the hiss controversy on the new mi...
