Re: WORST youtube synth demo?

Gotta say, I expected a lot worse from this thread. The Polivoks demo RULES. That guy is a total spaz/genius. (BTW: if you've never heard a Polivoks first hand, that's really what they sound like) Gonna have to sample him going nuts. The Jexus Ion demo is maybe the funniest thing I've seen him do. T...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

Read his last feedback - he failed to go through with the legitimate sale for the CS70m. I would not deal with him. Er... in his defense, that's the first negative feedback he's ever gotten in 650+ sales... he only just sold a rather pricey jup-8 a while back too. On the other hand though, I believ...

Computer For Recording Suggestions

The motherboard on my HP computer just died, luckily the hard drive is fine.
So I need a new computer for recording.
Any tips on how to do this right this time?
I don't want to use a Mac.
For recording, I just track everything in Sony Acid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Picking a lesser used but interesting synth...

I'd go with the Polivoks for sure. The DS-2 I've owned, and its like an MG-1 with a weaker filter, horrible build quality, in a bulky case. The EOwave I don't find very interesting especially at the price. The Polivoks I've only had limited exposure to, but I remember the filter sort of combining th...

Re: Suggest me a synth of indie/electro

While it's not really much of an actual synthesizer, the E-MU Vintage Pro would probably fit the bill for you. It has great piano, organ, synth, and mellotron sounds. There is a LP filter onboard and other basic tools for shaping the sounds. It's relatively cheap too. Keep the Yamaha to control it t...
