Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!

Christian Lunch's TR-909 on SF Craigslist: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/msg/2368785324.html OK, so my good friend Christian Lunch is selling his Tr-909. He's been making electronic music for about 30 years now. Everytime he sells a piece of gear he thoroughly cleans and calibrates the item. I bou...

This is how they sell synths in Floida:

We should all get on board with this.

I Need a Tiny BATTERY POWERED MIDI Keyboard

Hey,
I'm looking for something like the Korg Nanokey(small and simple MIDI keyboard controller), but that is battery powered(i.e. 2 double A batteries).
Any suggestions?
The lighter and smaller the better.

ARP Solus in NJ: http://southjersey.craigslist.org/msg/2148820419.html It's not cheap, but I've seen them go for more on eBay, and this one looks to be in nice shape. I assume that these were a limited production run, because you rarely see them up for sale. Here's the pic from the ad: http://i106....

I agree, his demos are bad-ass.

Re: Analogue Solutions Vostok mk-1

So what's the verdict? Did you go check it out or what? I actually bought one locally, used last week, and I'm totally loving it, although I haven't done anything too exotic with it yet. It sounds amazing. Blows my MS-20 out of the water. The one I got was bought new about 3 months ago, so it's the ...

Re: On-the-fly Phrase Sampling/Looping

The EHX 2880 is nice, but doesn't always want to play nice when receiving MIDI/BPM info. Best not to use live, as it is quirky(especially in certain BPMs). I've used it live and regretted it. The Electrix Repeater and the Gibson/Oberheim Echoplex both do very well syncing to external tempo info. I'v...

Re: SP-555 vs. MPC-1000 as Master Clock

I'm guessing when you say Master Clock, you mean you start the MPC and all your other gear kicks in. In other words, you're only using it as a Start/Stop and TEMPO master. Both can do that task just fine. The MPC 1000 would be better used if you intended to build all the sequences in that one box. ...

Rad tracks.
My favorite is the Mini track.
The percussion is amazing on the CS-15 track considering you didn't use a sequencer.
I also love the weird chord with FM/portamento on the 3100 track.

SP-555 vs. MPC-1000 as Master Clock

Hi,
I'm using a SP-555 as a master clock which is going MIDI-out to an Electrix Repeater and an Electro-Hamonix 2880.
I was wondering if there would be any advantages to using the MPC1000 as a master clock as opposed to the SP-555.
Thanks.
