Re: cheap MC-09, talk me out of it

I'd go ahead and get it. My true honest feeling on it was it was a piece of c**p, but it's crappiness went to such depth that it ended up being pretty unique. (which led me to loving the thing) y. Oh man, I know exactly how you feel. Forget about the sampler and drum-machine aspect of it... The dsp...

Re: TX816's Powersupply is singing.

Thanks man! I'll definitely check out that website. I don't know if it comes out from the outputs aswell... to be honest I havn't bothered to even plug it in yet. I'm thinking of just flipping it and making a few bucks... I already have a dx7 and am finding it hard to justify keeping the unit when I...

TX816's Powersupply is singing.

So like yeah, I got hooked up with a decked out tx816 and qx1 sequencer for 125$... and they're both in pretty good condition. The qx1 had a floppy diskette melt inside the drive somehow... but I fixed that up and now it's pretty much as good as the day it came out of the box! The tx816 needs a few ...

Re: looking for an all minimoog track.

That's an interesting site... but that's not the guy I'm looking for.
This was an old album from the times of the original minimoog that had just been re-released... from what I remember anyways. It had some sort of cheesy name like
"space symphony"... or something...

Ugh! It's killing me!

looking for an all minimoog track.

I remember awhile back someone posted a link to this guy's website where he was promoting the re-release of an album he had made using (I think) only a minimoog. Very spacey-sounding stuff. There was also all sorts of charts and things on how he had recorded the album. I think it was in a thread hav...

Re: List of synthesizers capable of additive synthesis

I have an Alpha Syntauri system on the apple II that does additive... It's really more of a software synth though... kinda-ish I guess.

Never really used it all that much to tell you the truth. It's a real shame.

Balanced outputs? On vintage synths?

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of setting all my gear up in a patchbay so that it's all nice and organised and that I'll basically never have to mess around behind my machines again. The only problem is that I'm freaking out at the noise in my set-up. My speakers are pretty much broadcasting the the CB...

Re: Crumar Multiman - Insane price!

Isn't that pretty much the exact same thing as a crumar stringman?

In which case it's a pretty, pretty limited machine and whatever he's asking for it is an absolutely ridiculous price. Noone's gonna go for it.

I bought mine for 75$can. Never really used it.

Roland Sh-2 issues, issues, issues...

Alright so yeah, I've recently started using my sh-2 again... It was the first true analog synth I bought and apparently I didn't check it out very well before buying it cause well, I didn't know any better. Good thing I didn't pay a fortune for it. Still though, Its a shame that it's acting up. Bas...

Re: Roland SH2

I'm lucky I got to pick one up for 400$can last winter. It's not in the greatest shape... the keys double-trigger sometimes but that doesn't really matter since I've midied it up. The master-tune knob is super tempermental as well but yeah, still useable. BIG bass from this little beasty even though...

Re: Analog Sequencers and the Ms-20

Yeah, right now I'm using the mobius sequencer on my ms-20 but I'm looking for something more in the likes of the maq 16/3 so that I could use two tracks to control the highpass and low pass filter for some cool effects. The only way I could see that happening though is if I used the midi out of the...

Analog Sequencers and the Ms-20

Hey guys, I was just wondering what the options were for the ms-20 in terms of analog-style sequencing really. I know that there's the sq-10 out there that I could get second hand... but with only 12 steps, wouldn't that give me some weird time signature thing going on when I'd try to synch it when ...
