haha i just picked up a re 201 and korg se 500 the other week and got them running pretty good, Re 201 needed a new tape but also replaced the pinch roller since the korg needed one. Their really isn't anything like it i feel like im over using it haha. I am actually thinking of picking up a second ...

Yea the reason for purchasing them was just as a new medium to get different coloration for my own little studio. As far as maintenance goes not to much of a problem on my end. My main plan was to use them for bouncing my crappy vocals to get a "real" more nostalgic sound. Not sure if it will do the...

Buying some reel to reel recorders... need help.

I have found two reel to reels locally and was wondering if any one has any input as what to expect are these any good etc etc. Never used reel to reels before. Is it even worth purchasing them? The first one is a Teac Reel-to-Reel 3300 and the second is Teac Reel-to-Reel A-4300SX Any information at...

maybe spent 20 30 mins tops while laying in bed just a short loop any ideas where to take it? Plus its to dam cold out to make happier music. I honestly really never record and just "jam" but am starting to now.

hey guys picked up a re201 locally the other day. the unit seems fine but the output of volume on high seems kinda low just wondering if this is normal and the signal needs a nice boost or do i have to take a look inside and maybe fix a few things. thanks!

Korg se 500 delay barely or not audible?

I just received a wonderful se 500 but during shipping the carrier was not to carful after putting it back together i get little i mean very very little to no delay at all. Everything seems connected the heads seem fine i am at a lose and would love to avoid visiting my local tech. Any one have advi...

so i have been trying to sell my little phatty for some time now its a stage two with custom sides, i have been offered a rhodes mki 73 in good condition plus 150 should i take it or not. What do these normally sell for? never really considered buying a rhodes before or played one also it is missing...

Hmm this thread got me thinking maybe its time to move daws how does logic handle cc automation overall it seems significantly better for recording. One thing i like about live is the drum racks though. decisions decisions.
