Re: E-MU Proteus 1000/2000/Command-Station owners...

Hey, do yo need a MIDI interface? or just with the USB is fine? I simple adore the command stations. These romplers deserve a place in synth history. A full ROM loaded command station can provide an endless source of great user patches, with their great patchcord and lots of unique functions. but I ...

Re: Got a kawai K5000

thanks for the info guys. Yeah, I spent all night with the Kawai. s**t is depth and fulll of screens inside screens honestly, never heard anything about this Kawai, honestly I'm a lot confused about the concept in this synth to edit sounds. It's like relearning digital synthesis, never used somethim...

Re: Got a kawai K5000

is the S version Also has the Len Sasso book for programming on PDF. Alco came with the hardcase. I just tested the synth during half and hour and got lost. Lots of screens, but I liked the sound. I made the post, because always had the concept of Kawai as a toy synth. NEVER hear anything about it. ...

Got a kawai K5000

Well, at the end, I went to get another synth, but it was already sold. So I saw that synth, a kawai k5000, and wonder if it could worth those $350. Does somebody knows this synth? I just purchased it, never considered Kawai as a serious synth....but I took the risk since the seller told that we wel...

Re: Which Electribe?

Wow that's a good offer I think so.

Old electribes are around $200

New ones (EMX 1 and ESX1) are around $450

But the ES 1 would not replace it

Re: Which Electribe?

As an owner of both I'd say grab the ES-1 over the ER-1. The ER-1 is really cool and a lot of fun, but it has its own sound - a bit like an 808/909 - and you can't really escape from that. With the ES-1 you can load up any samples you like so the possibilities are endless, although it must be said ...

Re: Why do U like the Electribe ESX1 so much???

- You can set a range of patterns (any length) to play sequentially in pattern mode by holding the first pattern button and pressing the end pattern - it will play each pattern in turn and go back to the beginning... this works between pattern groups as well (left and right cursor) funny, but this ...

Re: Poll: your musical influence for interest in synthesizers

I was a kid at the primary school when I heard that song by the first time. I felt something itchy when I heard those three notes of a tremolo lead, they sound so bizarre, so thick and wonderful! Then, OBSESSION by Animotion Similar lead, but not so thick as ghost busters.... but the song that got m...

Re: sampling microscopic sounds (ants, bugs) and long distance

Yeap I got that cd, it came on a Carl Sagan book about the Voyager spaceship. Voyager spaceship was sent to the deep dark and cold space, with a disk that will remain playing during hundreds of years until the battery dies. They VOYAGER project was designed by Carl Sagan when working wit the NASA I ...

Re: sampling microscopic sounds (ants, bugs) and long distance

I've seen they left smelly traces, and change information throught their antenas, but they also make some noises with their jaws. There are so much people getting their samples from libraries, and taking sounds from other artists, I think this is not really necessary since we have so much different ...

Re: sampling microscopic sounds (ants, bugs) and long distance

Well legal or illegal, I found it for $1200. That's quite expensive I think. http://www.spyemporium.com/microphones_voice_booster/microphones_voice_booster_high_grade_broadcast_quality_parabolic_dgpm_2.jpg I use to sample a lot of sounds from the nature. There are some birds here named "Oropendolas"...

sampling microscopic sounds (ants, bugs) and long distance

Hey guys, I have been searching those super sensitive mics that can perceive the sounds of insects, like "ant chat" , bugs talk, or any kind of microscopic sound. I don't have any idea where to purchase them./.. Also, there are parabolic mics, that can help you to hear sounds at long distances. I wi...

Why do U like the Electribe ESX1 so much?? TIPS

Treading and reading.... I have found that there are a lot of fans of this hardware sampler. I have one plus the EMX1 too. In the past, I also had the Electribe ER1 and ES1.... so I could say that I have enjoyed the Electribe series a lot... but you guys are great musicians and I'm not... so tell me...
