MS2000 more reliable purchase, one of the cheapest decent VA synths around.... nice sound, very easy to use. Also, depends of your area of expertise

I never expected to hear that.... I got one and also the AX 80. yeap This is nasty, gritty rustic noise, especially some noisy and fat pads. Hear it on Rambo First blood.

Re: What has happend to Yamaha and synthesizers?

nothing beats a real instrument in your hands. x2 =D> Aren't synthesizers real instruments???? Is a Minimoog trying to "emulate" a real instrument or is a real instrument by itself? I think that even a modern rompler or even workstations can be considered real instruments. Maybe the issue is how fa...

Re: Akai and the joy of lo-fi sampling

I have been looking for one of those, since I have an AKAI AX 80 analog synthesizer. It belongs to the days of the Roland Juno series, and it has as Minidin entrance to hook up an Akai lo fi sampler.

I haven't been able to get one of those, in order to process samplers throught real analog filters.

Re: What has happend to Yamaha and synthesizers?

Latest failure, their EX7.... but they are involved in so much types of different musical instruments, sinc...

Re: What has happend to Yamaha and synthesizers?

Ifell I owe some loyalty to Yamaha, since I started to love music composition using the arranger keyboards PSR when I was a child... I like the high detailed level of synthesis and variations of parameters that you can control on a Yamaha synth. They put a lot of concern on having multiple parameter...

Re: What has happend to Yamaha and synthesizers?

However - since the AN1x and the EX5 and it's FDSP - they have abandoned all synthesizer developed completely and have absolutely nothing new apart from Motif. That's ten years without absolutely no synthesizer development! Cheers, Kevin. EX5.... the most complicated digital synth I ever owned. Sam...

Re: Are people still using Hardare Samplers?

Before getting one, consider these facts... SP 808ex advantages and disadvantages (IMO): CONTRAS: Noisy zip drive. That bzzzzzzzzzzz mades me nuts sometimes, and I have two.... Only 4 poly. There are no "patches" samples are not editable, no LFO, no filter, amp attack or decay, etc. There is no romp...

Disintegration song.... I have never heard something so, so, so nostalgic and depressive. It causes me such a strong, unbereable feelings that I can't hear it. Too beatiful for me, I can't stand it. Re:

In contrary to those gbyte sampling, I am now addicted to hardware sampling using the RS7k, MC-909 down to the SU10. It's just so much fun to play with those knobs and features on the machine. small kbyte/mono/low bit sampling with permanent storage/SM card are like unlimited even with only small s...

Re: waldorf micro Q info, patch and compatibility ?

I have a MICRO Q screaming yellow. Got it for $50!!!! It has the same engine than the Q, but the Q has more poly and more knobs to manipulate parameters. So the position of the extra knobs on the presets, is what makes the difference mentioned by DoCT, but they are almost the same instrument. If you...
