Re: ELEKTRON SYNTHS?

I have not played with an A4. I have an MD and just sold my OT to help fund a RYTM. I have like the feel of both, but always wished they would release pro versions with beefed up encoders and better buttons (covers and components). I have always been concerned with the 10-20 year longevity. I like a...

Sector=slice sequencer/play head effects/probability madness

I-pad app I've been digging the last couple of days. Good deal at the introductory price.

Sample slice sequencer. Very enjoyable to program so far.
Lots of probability variation with enough control to tame it back from nonsense.

Re: MOOG SUB37 vs KARP Odyssey

-- Moog will have full MIDI implementation...knobs sending CCs, patch memories, velocity, aftertouch, etc. KARP most likely will not. -- Moog has bend and mod wheels, KARP will have "PPC" (pressure sensitive) bender only. -- Moog has limited CV inputs, if KARP is true to the original it will have CV...

Re: MOOG SUB37 vs KARP Odyssey

I don't think they'll be in the same ballpark pricewise. The Sub 37 will be double to triple the cost of the KARP.

Re: New stuff from Roland!

I thought this was a pretty good demo of the TR-8, TB-3, and VT-3 all being used together. I don't think anyone's posted it yet. His setup is interesting. He says, "TR-3 output is going into VT-3 which is then going into the external in of the TR-8." http://youtu.be/qRv3StxVweo The dude has posted ...

Re: Moog Sub 37

I just preordered mine from proaudiostar, for 1350, cool! How'd you get it for $149 below the usual street price of $1,499?!? Are you friends with DJ Ghostdad or something? pro audio star, you just have to ask... JRR Shop is always 10% off everything as well. They have a new customer discount...

Re: New stuff from Roland!

If I consider any of these, it will be in a year or so, when the used market begins to flow with nearly untouched units. Doubt it though. Surely, enough folks will be using them some good music will be made.

Re: Moog Sub 37

Para is currently used exactly the way I described its use in my post... :? I think you're confusing para with pseudo , or at the very least conflating the two. In other words, you have a pseudo-understanding of para, not a para-understanding. Also para is Greek, not latin. okay you win. you will a...

Re: Apogee Duet

Yep, the uno is pretty bomb proof. I've used it with PC and Mac and many different synths for sysex backup. I can't find any info on whether it with work with the duet's USB midi I/O. Or whether or not the duet will pass sysex from the ipad I/O to the midi I/O.

Apogee Duet

I am considering the apogee duet to use with the ipad. Anyone use it with a mini 2? Likes/dislikes? I am hoping to be able to pass sysex through the midi in/out. And hopefully, through an m-audio uno, to go from USB to din. If not the uno, any USB to din that can work with the duet? I have a non-UW ...

MachineDrum 2 sequencer steps

Put this together for a science lab over on Elektronauts. The restrictions were MachineDrum only and use only two sequencer steps. No samples or resampling, i have an SPS-1. All rhythms and textures created using LFOs, retrig, internal delay, and a few manually triggered sounds. http://soundcloud.co...
