Re: Elektron to replace... Everything?

A4+MD is pretty sweet, for sure. Octatrack is a beast too. Too bad no one has been able to come up with a sweet design fitting those three in a custom flight case. That would be totally f**k baller, to be able to easily carry the three around like that. A regular keyboard case flipped upside down s...

Re: Elektron machinedrum price

JRR shop is giving 15% off in the US to help lessen the price hike. So glad, I got my OT when I did. 2 days before the sale ended last year.

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued

I've been making noises about my desire for a Moog drum machine for quite a while. Sure, it would be a departure for them but what's wrong with that? They could put out a machine that would sound great with a 100% analog soundpath, multiple white noise generators and Moog filters. You could have co...

I would like to see the next inline to have a much more flexible modulation routing.

Re: Heart/Brain of your setup?

The current brain of my setup is two headed MD+OT with the MD doing the heavy lifting while I learn the OT. A big improvement from my previous brain, emu command station. I just rewired everything to my MD as well. Kind of sad that i control my vermona/808 with it for drums an use it for sound effe...

Re: Heart/Brain of your setup?

Part of the reason why I want to get a Jomox or some other drum machine to replace the Korg is that issue. years ago I used their XBase09 as my centerpiece, I had it synced to a Roland MSQ-700 that was then sequencing a Juno 60 and Emulator II and also paired with a FR-777 and a number of other pie...

Re: Mini xoxbox in development

If the price is right... (Volca Bass) I'd love to be able to layer up multiple x0xb0x sequences without sampling. I like to sequence my x0x externally most of the time anyway. I really like using several tracks of the MD, changing note length and muting/unmuting for variation. Might end up getting m...

Re: Open question about gear purchases..

buying new is f**k stupid. learned the haRD way. Why do you say this and what's the hard way? I think buying used would lead to more horror stories... No way. You loose 30% just walking out the door. There are exceptions on both sides of 30%, but for the most part... After a couple of years most sy...

Re: What to Buy: Moog Sub Phatty or Used LP?

Another difference is the LP/SP has OSC 2 as a mod source the SubP does not.

I own a stage 1 with CV out. I'd probably go with the SubP just for the knob per function and OSC reset. I'd have to spend a little time with it to make sure I like the tone > or = to the LP.
