Re: New Squarepusher---is Shobaleader One really a band?
there were loads of blog posts about it over a month ago. i thought he said that the rest of the band are well known musicians who work in other genres, i'm sure he said they had metal backgrounds. i don't think it's a prank, Tom isn't the same as RDJ and doesn't tend to make up stupid stories. Plus...

Re: New(ish) sketch. Very open to suggestions
brilliant tune, I love it - it's got a lovely melancholy feel to it. :D have you tried just going straight in to the tune, maybe with a little snare break to lead in? or try a reversed cymbal or something? I think the main tune isn't so aggressive that it needs a fade in and going in hard would give...

Re: Brilliant Ensoniq ESQ1 / SQ80 site
no probs, it was a totally accidental find. I've spent so many hours trying to find as much info about the esq1 as I can. Although I do have the manual I find it a bit tricky to learn from so having the interactivity of the website is a real help. I will be getting all up in my esq and programming t...

Brilliant Ensoniq ESQ1 / SQ80 site
I've spent ages searching for ESQ1 sites and found all the obvious ones out there but I stumbled upon this one the other day and it's fantastic. Very easy to understand and even offers extra information than I had already found. Sorry if you all know about it but I just had to share it! http://www.s...

yes, wait for the price to come to you. DO NOT rush into a sale and pay over the odds because you really want the synth. The deal will come to you if you are patient

Re: Gear for techno/house/minimal ? (newbie)
it sounds like you need to balls down for a bit and have a good long think about what you are up to currently and what you hope to achieve in the future. at the moment you're buying left right and centre and not taking the time to concentrate on individual pieces of equipment. It's too easy to get a...

Re: Gear for techno/house/minimal ? (newbie)
I'd keep the ES-1, it's ES-1 a good machine, it's got FX on it and you can load your own samples into it so it's only going to be as good as your samples ;) You could fill it with techno drum samples etc and you'd be away. As much as everyone hates the MC-303, I've got a soft spot for it. I'd person...

Re: eeru - more scifi soundtrack acid
Great track mate... I really like your style. I too think the track has a melancholy vibe. Not depressing, but more like the sad mood gets you thinking. Cool music. yeah, it makes me feel a little like being the only survivor at the end of a zombie film! Nice! :) The 606 sounds great, how did you p...
