Re: Again: Juno or Polysix?

Lovely description of those two synths, and unlike one I've ever heard; yet probably the best.

Re: Keyboard or synth suggestion for my niece

I guess they're out of production, but you could pick one up on eBay or so. I'd try the Casio LK-100 since it has midi, built in speakers, and other stuff useful for kids.

Re: Roland should reissue the

So anyone who's been here for more than five minutes has seen approximately five million posts calling on Roland to reissue the Juno 60 (not the 106, they sound plastic due to having plastic rather than wood end-cheeks), the SH-101, the TB-303 and of course the TR-808. Seeing as there are so many o...

Re: Swapping out the Andromeda

No, it was with cash as well; however the Cat is off the table. I ended up just getting a check today over the Cat and kept the brute. I didn't really have a good feeling about the Cat for some reason. Before I was about to leave I played on the Cat one last time, and it totally died. The first osci...

The price of Junos has always been horrendous to me, but $650 for this POS?

Re: "Perennial Suspension"|Ensoniq Fizmo|Downtempo Electroni

Quite a lovely track, I really enjoyed it! Also great that you put the Fizmo to good use rather than making typical farty-elctro sounds with it.

Also, this reminds me of Wave Race for the N64, but not in relation to the original soundtrack. It just has that vibe to it in my opinion. :D

Good work!

Re: Waldorf Blofeld

Bit of a bump on this, sorry.

But, I ended up with an XTk (10v) and I wouldn't really think of picking up the Blo. I'm am absolutely in love with the sound of the XTk, and its whole character.

Plus it's orange.

Re: Swapping out the Andromeda

JP-6's stock MIDI powers up in OMNI mode, receiving MIDI on ALL 16 channels. You can take it out of Omni mode by plugging both ends of a MIDI cable into the JP-6's MINI IN and OUT, play any note on the keyboard and then hook up the synth in to your MIDI system. Now the JP-6 will only respond to MID...

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

I just bought a Prophet 600 from TheHarv. Quick to ship, very considerate, and he's a great communicator. The Prophet was in incredible shape and I would gladly do business with him again.

Thanks again!

Re: Swapping out the Andromeda

Double post... Sorry.

How crippled is the MIDI on the JP6 without the Europa? Does it have trouble with incoming notes, or what's so bad about it's MIDI implementation?

Just got my Maxi-Korg from Z and he was awesome to deal with! Described it great, provided excellent pictures, and did a demo video walking through all the functionality of the unit. All in all, it was an awesome transaction.

Re: Swapping out the Andromeda

The Jupiter 6 is more capable than many people realize. For sheer variety of sounds from a VCO PolySynth it is hard to beat. It has one of the best designed panel layouts ever with practically no compromise in what has become the expected range of Synth functions, plus less-common features like Wid...
