Re: monomachine question

I never turn my MnM SFX-6 all the way up as the output would be so hot that it would clip my A/D even when it is set for +4. i would no have to turn it all the way up either for it to be fine for recording when i was playing it at half the volume it was getting near the 0 gain stage. if, i turn it ...

Re: monomachine question

Probably best to contact Elektron. They've got a tech in Georgia, that may be able to work on it, but it will probably have to go back to Sweden. They're great with this stuff and should get back to you within a few days. My MNM never distorts FWIW. if that is the case i only have like a week with ...

Re: monomachine question

This belongs in the help section. Is the motu that weak or something? I am using an Echo audiofire 8 and I usually have my mono's main volume set to half and it is pretty loud. I don't even have my audio interface up all the way. I leave the main at half and then control each tracks level with the ...

Re: a good patchbay

[quote="matia"]a patchbay should not introduce any noise. re-seating and cleaning the cards often helps. it also depends on what kind of a patchbay you run. i doubt you need tt's so it's probably 1/4 in. Also do you need a balanced or unbalanced patchbay. In my studio I run the unbalanced stuff into...

Re: who uses keyboard workstation

[quote="danbroad"]I loved my Motif XS but really missed the synthesis. Loved my Virus, but missed the occasional grand piano. In the end, my expensive lesson was that I need both a synth and a workstation. Expensive because I went to a Korg M3 with the Radias board. Sorry to say, but I dislike the M...

Re: who uses keyboard workstation

well, i was about to trade in for the keyboard version. after me trading it in i will still have to spend some $.1360. so, i decide that it was best for me to keep it. and with the money i got myself an MPC 5000 for 1200. it makes more same for me since i only wanted a dedicated sequencer and having...
