Re: Kawai K3 - Opinions?

My brother recently got a K3 from ebay. When i was at his home i instantly fell in love with it while playing and making some patches. The analog filters really make it sound good. The very similar looks to the JX8P only strengthened my fascination. I even think that the K3 is cooler than the JX8P i...

Re: Rank synths based on best presets

In most cases the presets suck and are just scratching the surface of what the synth can really do. One exception may be the M1 that always sound like the presets, no matter what you do with it. That's the reason i'm selling my M1 now, because i'm fed up with those limited samples. Another reason i ...

I so need to get one of those cards and a couple of sound chips as well.
Too bad they don't take preorders.

Re: Korg DDD-1 Rom Cards

I'm quite sure that you can't use the M1 and WS cards.
As far as i know you can only use the Korg DDC Cards. There are many of them but they are rare.
There's a bass card called Variation 3 with a slap bass on it.

Re: Making songs?

For me programming sounds is a very important part. A well programmed patch can already have so much emotional energy in it. The rest is nice chords, melodies, breaks and sometimes just some experimentation. Sure, there are those elements like Verse, Chorus and Bridge, but depending on the kind of m...

Re: All synthesizers are good :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, i agree, they're all good. IMO almost every synth shines in a certain kind of sound, so in the end you have to love them all and buy them all. :)
Btw, that Polivoks sound is just scary, in a good way. :headbang:

Juno 60, it clearly has the signs of vintage, wooden side panels and lack of midi. :D

Re: Making songs?

@ OP That WOW effect you are talking about. Yes, breaks are important, programming your own "WOW" sounds might also help, but just forget about this A-B-A-C-whatever-formula bullshit. Be free! ;) Everything comes with time and experience. It's all good as long as you're notice a progression. Just do...

Actually nice to see that someone uses the words "Poly 800" and "interesting" in one sentence...
and that although it has DCO's. ;)

Re: Software for Korg Poly 800

Hi Paula C.

If you just need the factory sounds you can download them as a wav file.
Connect the audio output of your computer to the Poly800 cassette interface input to load the sounds back in.

Re: tr707 memory problem

I'm sorry to hear that! Next thing that would come to my mind is to measure the voltage of the connections, but you wrote you checked them already. I don't have a clue of electronics, so unfortunately i can't help you any further. One more silly advice, maybe insert another set of new (high quality)...
