Re: New Studio Addition: Minimoog!!

that's phenomenal, congrats.

Out of curiosity, who'd you use to ship it? Were you satisfied with them? I may need to send some recording gear across the atlantic and could really use some recommendations.

Re: mixer routing help at 7:50 he's talking about controls adding effects then sending it back into itself. can any mixer do this or do you need specific inputs/controls? For effects to feed back into themselves, you need to patch slightly differently. What you described (aux ou...

Turns out I have a similar problem with an ER-1 MkII. Did you manage to fix yours? Any pointers?

Re: Analogish Dirt with Software?

If you're able to use any convolution reverb, experimenting with different sounds for the impulses can yield good sound-sculpting results. things like cymbal hits or even room ambiance have worked well for me.

Re: Pres, Pedals and more

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for chorus/phaser/delay and pres that you've had experiences with on VST synths. I've tried all different kinds of pedals and other oddities for mangling/altering synth noises. One thing to remember is that recordings made to analog tape generally had less hi...

Re: My new(ish) project: lots of modular + CS-15

Re: MS2000R power supply issue

had a guy here in nyc fix it; it did turn out to be a broken solder joint, so a relatively easy repair. good thing, though i'm still going to leave some cranky feedback for the seller on ebay.

I appreciate all the responses - thanks!

MS2000R power supply issue

I just bought an ms2000 off of ebay - upon setting it up to test out, i found that the power supply jack seems to be loose. If the synth is touched too hard or moves relative to the power supply cable, the ac flickers and resets the thing. Really annoying. I want to contact the seller and let them k...
