Kawai K4 samples anyone?

Does anyone know I site where I can listen to samples of it's presets? I'm looking to purchase one of these along with a Roland JD-990 sometime in the near future, but no samples of the K4 to be found, other than a few not so informative demos on youtube. Does it have the same sounds as the K1 or K1...

Re: Any VSTI versions of these synths?

Korg DS-8, korg 707, Yamaha YS200 These are all FM synths: FM8. Korg 01/W, Korg N364, Korg X3, Korg 05R/W These were all based on the Korg M1 architecture: Korg Legacy Digital Edition. Roland U-20 Just a sample playback machine: any soft sampler. I dunno if it's that simple to say that the Korg M1 ...

Re: Yamaha SY22, Roland D-50, Korg Wavestation, and Kawai K5

I owned the K5. At the time I couldn't understand how to program my own sounds on it and the small LCD screen for editing didn't help in that regard. Additive synthesis is the complete opposite of subtractive synthesis (doh), rather than using filters to remove harmonics you build up the harmonics ...

Yamaha SY22, Roland D-50, Korg Wavestation, and Kawai K5

Has anyone had the pleasure of having all of these synths in your rig at one time? In either case (Whether you had them all at once or at different times) , what was your experiences like with them? Which do you think sound better overall for the type of music that YOU do? As you see, this is not a ...

Re: Any VSTI versions of these synths?

Good thing I sampled all the PCMs from my D50 before I sold it [-X ... Yea that is a good thing. lol. How do you use them though? Ha, ha! I don't use them, so I don't know why I sampled them in the first place  Apart from the "Log Bass" sample, actually. I also like the organ sample but the JV...

Re: Korg N264, Korg N364, Yamaha CS6x, Korg Wavestation, Roland

Thanx for your answers Yoozer (I like that name by the way. lol) The CS6x looks interesting though. I'm not really into Electronic music, but the music that I do (Reggae btw) is known for incorperating different elements, so I'm kind of open to different things to an extent. I did happen to hear som...

Korg N264, Korg N364, Yamaha CS6x, Korg Wavestation, Roland

Several different questions here. Some have to do with info about certain synths I'm looking into, and 1 or 2 other things here is just general talk based on opinions. First of all.....what is the Yamaha CS6x like overall? I seen it on the main site here and it drew some interest from me, but I neve...

Re: Roland U-20 and JD-990

That's odd about those demos not being up. Here are links to 2 other demos he did using just the presets: http://jdcontest.awakeaudio.com/upload/DonSolaris/990Dreams.mp3 http://jdcontest.awakeaudio.com/upload/DonSolaris/Advanced_JD.mp3 And other demos from a competition he organized where everyone ...

Re: Roland U-20 and JD-990

The 1080 isn't a substitute for the JD-990. I had an XP-50, then an XP-30, and now a JD-990. The XP's had a somewhat "compressed" quality to them. They're decent all-around synths and many of us have used one form or another, but it's not the same. The JD sounds "bigger". It's lush and full soundin...

Roland U-20 and JD-990

Anyone have the Roland U-20 and Roland JD-990 in their rigs? I heard some on-board demos and samples of presets of the U-20 and the JD-990 and immediately fell in love. Although nothin special, I like the synth-pop sounds of the U-20 as well as the D-50 like sonic quality. I also like the bright, lu...

Re: Any VSTI versions of these synths?

Rest assured; that's complete nonsense, as the VC-1 card for the V-Synth XT shows. It's a 100% digital synth; analog parts are what's hard to emulate. Which leads us to the D50's (old, not-so-stellar) DACs, and the insistence of people that the original sounds warmer (and "warmth" can be simulated w...

Re: Any VSTI versions of these synths?

Casio CZ-1 http://www.kvraudio.com/get/303.html You already have emulations for the others. It's not that those can't be emulated; in the case of the sample-based synthesizers it's simply a matter of having these samples on disk instead of locked away in a ROM, but that's the entire problem with it...

Re: Any VSTI versions of these synths?

Years ago ReFX had a VST called JunoX, an emulation of Alpha Juno ... They discontinued after issues with Roland ... I used it and it was a very good emulation soundwise .. I know Superwave P8 for JP8000 but I've never used it ... I have a real JP8000  I did hear about the JunoX recently. It'...

Any VSTI versions of these synths?

These are some hardware synths that I came on the main site and saw and had gained some interest in. I was just wondering if any of you guys know if there are any good (Close to the real thing, not shitty) VSTI versions of the following ones listed... Casio CZ-1 Roland D-50 Casio VZ-1 Casio FZ-1 Yam...
