Re: Synth Defects - Ticking Time Bombs

The Peavey DPM line is prone to Ni-cad battery leakage issues. My V3 rack has not suffered any damage but doesn't retain patches anymore and I have to load them evey time I turn it on.

Re: Help identifying synth rack late 80´s early 90´s

The Victor NS-T9 Organ Expander (made by JVC in 1989) has to be the most sparse module I've seen...but it's bigger than the 1U rack the OP remembers. It's a somewhat limited 2 DCO synth. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/UJwAAOSwhwdVUMSs/$_57.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/nmgAA...

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks

Does anyone have an idea of what synthesizer Shuki Levy used to compose/perform the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe music (1983). The reason why I want to know is because I might want to buy one. :newhere: Oberheim System (OB-Xa, DMX, DSX) but there's a a sampler as well...maybe an Emulator 1?

Re: Thread - Post a Blue Synth

Don't know if these have been posted before. I heard about them a few months ago while reading something about Serge modulars. Wavemakers synthesizers from mid 70s.

Re: Strings sounds on DX7 mk2

I once had a really great patch on a TX7 called ObieStrings and sounded full and airy on its own without any effects.

edit: I apologize...completely missed the mk2 in topic

I've seen one for sale only once on Kijiji. I've always wanted a PC1600 too and moreso now since getting a DPM V3.

Seq + delay...no clue which. Dan Lacksman had a Moog 3P but also used a Roland 104 sequencer by the time of Telex.

Re: Help with Midi-Ox settings for old synths

I cannot thank you enough, polyana. I used the Bome's Send SX as you suggested...first time failed but then adjusted the speed to the lowest setting and it worked perfectly.

I'm so relieved and very thankful. I thought for sure the module had faulty memory. It sounds great.

Re: Help with Midi-Ox settings for old synths

I should add that the files downloaded from the Peavey website have a SYS extension. I don't know if that's an error or not but I renamed them SYX so as to be recognized by Midi-Ox. I'm also using a generic usb/midi cable.

Help with Midi-Ox settings for old synths

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to load factory patches for a Peavey DPMV3 using Midi-Ox from an old Xp machine. I've only transmitted patches with midi-ox twice in the past and while I struggled with the buffer settings each time, I was still successful. It's no different now but the more i tweak the pa...
