Re: Polysix Arpeggiator timing question

I just tested it with my Encore Expressionist, which does "native" s-trig, the delay is around 19ms. same problem.

Re: Polysix Arpeggiator timing question

I know these workarounds but I'm looking for a more efficient solution as I'm using a Mobius as a master clock and Live only as recording tool and looper/arranger.

There's no need to do the Juno-60 test as it uses a positive trigger.

thanks for your input!

Re: Polysix Arpeggiator timing question

Thanks for taking the time to do this test.

If I find a solution I'll update this thread,

And if anybody has a Kenton MIDI to CV kit and a Polysix and is willing to do a similar test with the Kenton set on s-trig, I would appreciate it very much!!

Re: Polysix Arpeggiator timing question

I'm recording both the Tr-808 and Polysix in Ableton Live, but the following can be done on different daws or audio softwares. I'm recording the Tr-808 kick on the left channel and the P6 arpeggio on the right, I then zoom in close and select a portion of the wave starting from the start of the 808 ...

Polysix Arpeggiator timing question

Hi! My tech built a v-trig to s-trig box for me to trigger my Polysix's arpeggiator, it seems to work fine, but the the arp notes are always about 14ms late compared to the 808 kick, when doing the same test with the Jupiter-4, I only get 1ms delay. I did another test with all the different outs of ...

Re: 909 + 808 kick drums

I use no processing whatsoever on the kick, I just record it separately on its own channel.

The Micro has the most awesome "pwm" ever devised as it works with all waveforms.

Wow, i didn't even know this was possible!

The Ms-10 is the fattest 1-osc synth I've heard, the pwm is just awesome, I don't know but I doubt you'll find that on the Moog.

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

I think some of the posts here are pathetic, people just crying because someone else won't let them have a synth for cheap. Maybe you should look away from eBay, which is not the only source for music gear. Look at your locals ads, wait for a grandma selling a Juno 106 for 100$, then go give her 450...

Re: CS-40M slider caps

They're used on the CS-20m as well, I ordered some from Yamaha Canada a few years ago, they sent me their last three, if I remember correctly Yamaha US were sold out. I don't have any left.

Re: Dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say about synths

good example, I guess it's not necessarily a dumb reaction, it's just that many people will say : "one note a time?, that's retarded!" There's a famous journalist in my city that reviewed a prog band's show, ages ago, saying they didn't have any talent because all they keyboard parts were "one note ...

Re: Dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say about synths

About monophony, Often I'll describe my passion for older synths, pointing out to people that some are monophonic, the usual reaction from neophytes is like "yeah but what's the use in that" most people can't distinguish a note from a chord, they just think the more fingers on the piano, the better ...

Re: Yamha cs-5 keeps on playing and doesn't stop

I once bought an Arp Axxe for dead cheap because it was broken, turned out the professional synthesist who owned it didn't know the slider needed to be at minimum, not maximum.
