I think it's great that people have the option to customize their synths but personally I prefer to keep my synths in their original state as much as possible. I had the Sk-15, Cs-20m and Cs-40m, I didn't like the sound of any of them, kind of sloppy.
One curious thing they also had in common was an identical awful chemical smell. I currently have a Cs-5 and it has the same smell but almost imperceptible.
