Re: Quasimidi Polymorph vs Doepfer Dark Time

iPad+I/O Dock and some good apps like Sunrizer and a small MIDI controller covers that portion nicely. The AJ2 and any number of knobby analog options...you really have a large amount of options ahead of you

Re: New product from novation...

I did a quick comparison and the only spec difference between it and the Ultranova is the UN has 512 patches instead of 384. They swap th touchable buttons for the Animate and add VocalTune. Otherwise when looking at things like oscillators and LFOs and such it's all the same. Oh yeah, the Mini also...

Re: The Best Jx-*p

Nice demos. No doubt these synths are "full spectrum" -- they can all do standard subtractive analog sounds. But I stand by my claim that gnarly, aggressive, growling filter sweeps are NOT their strong suit. I mean, c'mon, put one of these in the same room with, say, an OB-Xa, and it's gonna run fo...

Re: The Best Jx-*p

I only own the 8P+PG-800, but I enjoy it a lot. For those saying it can't be aggressive, go look at what Jexus did w/it on yuotube. This is certainly one of the synths you want if your band is going to do a tribute to Disintegration :)

Official word is late August, but at least a couple in Europe have said mid-September now. Stealing my info from the Pulse 2 thread from GS.

Re: Animoog update

Got it . No time to test yet , but without buying the midi out in store upgrade i can set my midi cc's ? I bought the expansions but I hadn't updated the app and the MIDI CC button wasn't there yet. I didn't have MIDI plugged in at the time tho. I need to re-install on my iPad (or wait for the fix ...

Re: Analog Solutions Leipzig VS. Arturia MiniBrute

just waiting for korg to come out with a keyboard version of the monotribe/tron. I think it would put the minibrute to shame and all other analog mono's these days. The littly phatty might not be so "phatty" at all? but we will just have to wait and see. maybe namm 2013 will have something fresh fr...

Re: New DSI Mopho 4 Voice Synth Announced

Totally see what you're saying, but that still doesn't take into consideration the fact that you'd need an outboard mixer and poly chain, and extra power (albeit one more set of everything essentially)... I still stand by the idea that 1300 dollars for a four voice machine, is quite a nice price. I...

If you still haven't sold it by February let me know. Tax time I can probably squeeze that in my budget heh.

Re: New DSI Mopho 4 Voice Synth Announced

But I don't understand the concerns about the color... You didn't like the yellow?!? Did it make it sound bad or good? I bet the distinction is more what it was really about. See, the Nord are red, not black. Most Blofeld are white. So you can identify them easily if you like the sound or see them ...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

Yeah the way Nova does their pre-orders is basically they put people into a list and those folks get the pre-order pricing. When they start getting them in, just progress down and get charged at the point of sale. No money down. Which is nice, but like I said, I probably should have asked to pay in ...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

Everybody regardless of where on earth they ordered it from paid in full. It happens. I don't people expected to wait so long but it seems we'll all have them soon enough. Uhm speak for yourself. I pre-ordered w/Novamusik and paid no money down. Everyone who pre-ordered did not also pre-pay. I wish...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

Good to see a video of this instrument playing something other than grindy, grate-y, screechy metallic sounds for once. Don't get me wrong, I like grindy, grate-y, screechy metallic sounds, but it's nice to see somedemonstrating the "softer" side of the Minibrute. It sure is. Because that's a regio...

Re: Stand-Alone Programmable Analog Filters?

The Moog Music MIDI Murf is capable of creating lots of odd beats by filtering some sound thru it. I can't search Youtube from work, but there are good videos of that
