Re: THinking of selling my blofeld?

Can you suggest an inexpensive sequencer that I can get that has knob-per-step sequencing? I dont want a machinedrum/etc to sequence.. I want a specific method of sequencing. I have an RM1X which is a perfectly capable sequencer, but I'm selling because I don't enjoy using it. I'd love to be able to...

I meant the price of a xoxbox is not a lot when you already own a TI.

Depends on who you are.

THinking of selling my blofeld?

I know this is 'buyer's guide'... Closest thing to a right place I think.. Anyway.. I love my blofeld, but I really hate the hardware sequencing options I see, so I'm thinking of getting rid of it... If I sold it I would pick up a desktop evolver.. maybe even 2. I know they are completely different ...

Re: Korg ES-1 mk1/2 - Sound quality?

bitrate and sampling rate are 2 different things 32khz means there are 32000 'slices' of information for every second of audio. kinda like framerate for video. 16 bit means each 'slice' is represented by a 16bit value And I really love my ES-1 already. . although the SM card is pissing me off - I ca...

Re: The Blofeld's sample upgrade

Yeah I dont believe the OS size thing.. a 16 step sequence would require minimal space.. the flash memory would be plenty fast enough.

OH BTW I was wrong with the FMing two multisampled drumkits together - it doesnt seem to do anything.

By the way... this thing is a GLITCH MONSTER!!!

Re: A Good starting Station???

do you actually want a synthesiser, to make synthetic sounds?

or do you just want a good keyboard for realistic instruments?

Re: The Blofeld's sample upgrade

WOW! I had no clue that was supported.. that's what I get for commenting only on what I thought I knew based on the waldorf forum talk and not what I have done myself. Sorry for the misinformation, I should have mentioned in my post it was just what I thought based on the mailing list posts! S'all ...

kp3 has lots of holes too... what you need is like.. a metal box that has membrane controls only haha.. :/ but if i throw up everything will be safe... hahaha does the kp3 heats up? could i tape the hole without any problems? without a baffle the laptop and samplers (a4000 and s5000) looks like out...

Re: multi-timbral soft synths

You should get ableton Live man

Setup up instrument racks with chain selectors and stuff.. does exactly what you want, but lets you use any combination of plugins at once (and only the ones currently in use will use CPU power)

Re: The Blofeld's sample upgrade

so that would make 48 simultaneous samples within one multipatch ? Is there anyway to "sequence" the oscillator selection ? so for example, inside the seq/arpeg you could make a simple percussion pattern stepping between different samples as oscillators within a single patch ? sorry for the many sp...

Re: The Blofeld's sample upgrade

does anyone know if you are able to keymap several samples in a single patch ? kind of like a sampler... You can get the same effect but since samples are just oscillator replacements you will need to make a seperate patch for every sample you want to play, then make a multipatch, load each single ...
