Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

I just had a very bad experience with terreror . I paid a big price on the Juno 60 (about 700€) because he told me it was "just serviced and fully working". But I got a unit with 5 broken keys (2 of them totally smashed into pieces and floating into the packaging), intermittent sound on the working ...

I didn't understand a single word. At first I didn't even recognize the vocoder, I thought it was a synth...

Re: I've tried every softsynth - the best one is...

I didn't like the interface I couldn't program it easily, but yes, the sound is incredible!

I used it in a track I did some years ago, you can listen here: http://www.electrobel.be/muzik/19399/Modulator_wheel

Re: not synths but still a "vs"

the problem with firewire is that you get dropouts on 50% of the laptops (even with a TI chipset!). My laptop is in the bad 50%... I had to sell a very pricey interface, and now I'm stuck with my old and cheap 2in/2out USB thing.

Re: What will be the best synthesizer....

The first old school analog that's doesn't cost a car... I hope scientists at Yamaha Lab's find a new technology for new synths, so the price of old school ones drops. Like in the early nineties.

Re: Justice in an interview : Garage Band amazing for production

Who cares what program they use? It's not about what program justice use, its about the fact that garageband can be used to make decent quality music I have no doubt about it. I'm a big user of free/low-cost/shareware programs. I use Reaper. The simpler the better. Nowadays, every DAW does ASIO, su...

Re: Justice in an interview : Garage Band amazing for production

Who cares what program they use? I think the really interesting bit of the interview is this; And what we do on Justice is a bit of music, but mainly it's just A&R. We are just A&Ring the project of Justice. It's almost like a boy band you know? It's all about making the right decisions at the right...

Re: FM8. Better than DX7?? Save me some money...

Soundwise, FM8 is largely better, lots of FX8 very good presets, ease of use that a DX7 owner can only dream of.

But the hardware DX7 is pure love. The keyboard is excellent (it's my main keyboard for years) and if you're nostalgic, it's cheap enough to get one and be happy!

Re: Where can I learn circuit design?

I think the first step before creating a synth fropm scratch is making modules already designed for you. You can find a lot for free on the internet. Second step, knowing the basics: making stupid design to light a blinking led, something like that. Third step, the theory : you cannot do it without ...
