Re: Question about - Ambient Downtempo Composing

I just did an all ambient track with just my ms20 and MF102... its really about what you want to do with your synth... was my first attempt at ambient as well. there is no 'proper' setup for any style of music IMO True statement, After some thought on this topic- I chose to use a VoiceSynth/Sampler...

There is a button, that says Reset/Erase- next to it...

Anywhoo - Recently I left my D.evolver in a bag in a car for a couple days... I think the heat killed it... It wont power on.

I just mailed it back to DSI for repair. Does this count? haha

Re: repair success stories

Its not a synth, but... Did a temporary fix on my Numark-CM100 mixer, Something to hold me over till the new part arrives. the part that connects to the Ribbon-cable to the fader broke off, pulling out the traces along with it. Fixed it by / Bypassing all five traces with wire replacements, soldered...

Re: E-MU Proteus 1000/2000/Command-Station owners...

It did something that made sound stop coming out of the machine. Don't know what ti was, but reloading the multi setup or whatever it's called fixed it. Only flaw I had, was after attempting to run the test- the XL-7 froze/locked up. /Off-topic question- Dose your XL-7's Data wheel jump around allo...

Re: Restoring synths (Paint?)

To be honest, I'd just -redo all of the SilkScreen printing. - Text, numbers, logos, ect... If you take your time Its ridiculously easy to do, and results are sometimes as good as factory. You could even do some customize designs if you'd like. Here's a DIY link to silkscreening. same methods used o...

Re: Do you aknowledge the importance of dance music

When I hear "Modern DanceMusic" I think of- Subfocus, FerryCorsten, Benny Benassi, ect.. ect.. Good stuff IMO. I think we loose sight of the main rule of thumb about music, and that's the reaction of the listeners. Every Show/Club iv been to, There's always been at least one or two songs with a phat...

Re: What Synth have you gigged the most?

MicroKorg, & ER1mkII Electribe, for the most-part.
-Mainly for the fact their durable, Replaceable, Inexpensive, And remain sounding good.
"for the project at the time"

I also have a shoulder strap/harness for the MicroKorg, that allows me to use it like a Keytar.
