Re: Restoring synths (Paint?)

- Disassemble the unit - Mask off the SilkScreen text - Gently scuff up the old paint using 1000/2000/3000 grit sandpaper. "Don't sand to bare metal or wood" just scuff it up and smooth it out, so the fresh paint has something to stick to. - *Optional* / primer the parts - Paint the unit your desire...

Question about - Ambient Downtempo Composing

Lately iv been hooked on Listing to this Genre of music, and earlier today I thought about record a few of my own tracks. Id like to know what's the best setup for this style? The strategy I was thinking about doing, was to record a downtempo Loop with my Sampler. Then latch the loop, and play it on...

Re: E-mu MK-6 Mo'Phatt Keys, Any Opinions?

There's one F/S in Toledo for $80. $249 seems high for a Mo'Phatt module. ~ Sounds are good. I enjoy the Pads / Effects most of all. The initial Drums seemed a bit week though- IMO. ~ Effects are so/so. Depends what your comparing it too. ~ Iv only had mine for a week now... I'm still learning what ...

Re: Name every synth/controller with mini-keys and MIDI you know

/ok not meaning to hijack the thread here, but I have a question as I'm after a controller as well. if I get the AKAI MKP49, can I have the sliders control volume on each of the six tracks of my monoachine, and at the same time use the other sliders to control volume on my ESX? I'd like a controlle...

Re: Name every synth/controller with mini-keys and MIDI you know

what's your price range? If moneys not a problem here's a few I'd choose. -Akai MPK49 "compact 49 key" your best option IMO~ Its average $399 USD. http://www.planetdj.com/images/mpk49.jpg ~or Novation ReMOTE SL37 ~ average between $299 - 399 USD. http://www.laymansreviews.com/assets/lr_52-SL37_Ltd.j...

Re: The massive haul ~Story of OIG's deal of the year~

I'd rather have the rifle. an AirSoft- rifle valued less then $300... I made out Phat on this deal  originally I found the add on CL searching for a Mixer, since my Behringer gave up the ghost. I only needed the Mixer, and ended up taking home a car load of gear. :D *who would say no?* the ASR...
