I have sort of mixed feelings for the Electribes. Currently owning the ER-MKII, and have owned EM-1. I can say they are RockSolid pieces of hardware, but don't deliver great quality of sound. Both Electribes came off "Toy-Sounding" or cheap IMO. the 16X4 sequencing is nice, but Iv used better... IE"...

but the real trouble is that i really have no idea about how to transfer Samples to and from with an Apple iBook, at least not with SCSI. By the way, thanks for the link, lots of interesting stuff! :D not a problem :wink: Being the fact it's SCSI, your options of what type of Media Drive you choose...

I'm currently using a modified Emu-ESI32 sampler with expanded RAM, a 10GB internal hard-drive, ZipDrive, and SCSI I/O- that i use for direct communication with my PC's Adaptec SCSI card. Thanks for all the quick response's people..... :roll:

I went ahead and bought the board anyways today, and so-far I'm enjoying what it has to offer.
I'd still like to know if there's any "Known" mechanical flaws these are prone to suffering, and some of your personal opinions on the Keyboard.

I can't help buying a synth or keyboard when a good deal comes along. The house got so full I had to rent a storage unit. Now the storage unit is full so I keep keyboards in my car, at rehearsal places, friends houses, and my mom's house . I haven't been broke enough where I've had to sell anything...

I would agree that both VSTi & VA are the same.

But this also reminds me of Virtual-Poker... all the elements of the real game, minus the the authentic human interaction. :roll:

I'll stick with my VA & Keyboards :wink:
